...at least according to the new poster for Rob Zombie's Halloween.
Halloween is my favorite film of all time, so I'm not thinking of this one as a remake. I have no expectations for the film at all, but I am looking forward to seeing it.
I have to say, that I kind of like the idea behind this poster. I just wish that Michael had shorter hair.
Yeah, but Cruel_Sandwich has short hair. Does anything else really matter?
Yes, but only everything in the known universe.
I too love Halloween, and am cautiously awaiting this "re-imagining".

No thanks...

I cant believe it's not butter
If he's not using John Carpenter's music, then he can forget it. That's what truly made the original.
they do not
He is using Carpenter's music = good
backstory for Michael = bad
So... is this a remake, prequel, continuation?
remake of the original, or as they call it a re-imagining.
The back story is gonna explain wht Michael is so psycho, which is a rotten idea. Michael is pure evil. Explaining it just makes him more human.
But I'll still go. Zombie at least makes fun films.
Will Jamie Lee Curtis be making a guest appearance?
I'll probably go, if I can drag someone to see it with me. This is something my older brother and I would enjoy (we used to watch the original series), but unfortunately he's a thousand miles away (approximately).
JLC was not even asked to be in this one. Zombie is trying to steer completely away from anything that may remind audiences of the original.
"Zombie is trying to steer completely away from anything that may remind audiences of the original."
Then maybe he should have steered clear of remaking a classic... or renamed it "Purim" and gone for a Jewish angle. Oy vey!
Well, he wanted to make his own version of the story, so he didn't want any characters from the original to make a "Guest Appearance." The only person he is using that had anything to do with the HALLOWEEN series is Danielle Harris (Jamie in #4 and 5) who is going to play Annie. Oh, by the way, I am a HUGE fan of Danielle Harris because of those HALLOWEEN movies.
Taz--I am actually glad he is doing a back story, because someone needs to wipe the slate clean from the HORRIBLE backstory of #6. I would much rather have a more human approach to why he is evil, instead of some Druid, cult reason. Blah!
Oh god DJ so true. I didn't even understand that whole "man in black"/druid nonsense until you explained it to me a few months ago.
