And he'd say, "Maggie, do you waaaaaaaaanna dance?"
I think Republicans will be split over their support for intervention. Many will vote against it just to stick it to Obama or because there seems to be no real plan. But even if the motives are wrong, at least the direction is correct... at least in my opinion.

Senate Foreign Relations Committee approves strike

Here we go, friends. I truly feel it's about to get ugly in spite of the restrictions limiting the impending strike by President Obama. I fear most for Israel. I really do.
it's gonna have to beat a filibuster to get approved. can he get 60?
When you look at the seventeen votes, 10 in favor and 7 against, you have to suspect that some of the Democrats supporting military action, such as Barbara Boxer, must be doing it simply so their President doesn't look bad in the eyes of the world. If that is the case, it's a terrible motive for risking a war. No wonder the Congress as a whole has about a 10% approval rating.
Who's going to filibuster? Rand Paul said he's not going to.
" I'm actually shocked at all these Dems who are supporting a strike. They wouldn't support Bush for something far more serious"
You're completely, wrong Goth.
The majority of Democrats, at least in the Senate, supported Bush for something far LESS serious: The Iraq Resolution.

While I'm sure you will attack the messenger rather than think about the message, please read Ann Coulter's article comparing what Bush did to what Obama is doing.

My computer must be allergic to Ann Coulter.
please read Ann Coulter's article
If that's the price we have to pay for your agreeing with us, kindly go back to being the opposition and read her yourself.
My life is allergic to Ann Coulter. I get hives just thinking of her.
I'm not being over dramatic when I say even hearing her name makes me nauseous.
She's right down there with Phelps for people I hope rot in hell.
I can't be bothered to hate her, but suggesting that anyone actually read her thoughts on, well, anything is absurd. Why don't we check in with Gallagher and Victoria Jackson while we're at it?
I read it on a different site and it's beyond stupid.
"...please read Ann Coulter's article comparing what Bush did to what Obama is doing."
That is the funniest post I've read on here in awhile!
the fact that someone suggested to read ann coulter's opinion on *anything* is a truly wtf are *you* thinking?!!? moment.
i mean, really, c'mon!
surely u jest!

That's an an "l" she has in her last name?
If you're against military action in Syria today would be a good day to call your rep in Congress and let them know how you feel. It only takes a few minutes. I just got off the phone with Bob Menendez's office and the person I spoke to sounded flustered. Said the phones have been ringing off the hook all morning.
Goth, I looked at that link
Coulter is against the strike on Syria. Many people, far more credible than Coulter (as if that's difficult) are against the strike on Syria, for many good reasons.
But what the &*() does that have to do with my correcting your allegation that Democrats wouldn't support Bush in retaliation for something far more serious than Assad's use of chemical weapons.
The fact remains that many Democrats supported Bush in invading Iraq, which was for something far less serious, the mere allegation of having chemical weapons, not using them; not to mention that that allegation was false.
