Mitt Romney's round of highly dubious television and radio ads suggesting that Chrysler and GM are shipping American jobs to China has managed to offend both car companies.
A spokesperson for General Motors told the Detroit Free Press that the ad was, more or less, crass and misleading."
THe Romney ad was even dubbed the "LIE OF THE YEAR" by Politifact's factchecker. Yet, now there is THIS (from the RIght-Wing hate group called THE DETROIT NEWS):
"Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said the automaker plans to build some Jeeps in China for the local market — and later, in Russia.
"As part of our global expansion of the Jeep brand, there are some cars — that because of the price position in the market — can never be made in the U.S. and exported," Marchionne told reporters on the sidelines of the North American International Auto Show. "We're going to be announcing the first step in the globalization of Jeep (in China).

Since you clearly missed it when they explained it in October, Chrysler is building a new plant in China to cover the Chinese market. This has ZERO impact on US production plants and US jobs. Nothing is being outsourced and no one is losing their jobs. Chrysler is building the cars in China for China. These are not cars for America nor jobs for Americans being stolen.
In other words, Mitt Romney was not right.

What's pathetic is 2 1/2 months after HE LOST the election there are still people out there defending him. Kind of like the people who still have Romney/Ryan yard signs in their yards. Its just kind of sad.The people hated your guy and stuck with Obama. Grow up and deal with it!

No where does it say Jeeps are being built in China than being shipped here because they aren't. Jeeps are being built in China to target new markets, an expansion of an American company that conservatives everywhere should be celebrating. If only Mitt Romney was President during the auto industry crisis and Jeep no longer existed...

There are millions of Jeeps in China right now; Jeeps that were built here in the USA and exported out of the country. Those Jeeps will no longer be built here in the USA, they will be built in China, just like Romney said they would.

And why are they going to start building them in China for China? Because the demand for them is exploding and the US can't keep up. It's called expansion, not outsourcing. They're not firing employees or closing factories to do this.
Not only expanding in China, but also into Europe and Russia.

Here's the difference:
Jeep is opening a plant IN CHINA that will have CHINESE employees.
How is that outsourcing? Jeep isn't closing their US factories and they're not firing the US employees to make room for the Chinese ones.
This isn't politics. It's good business.

They'll be built in China. I'm assuming that the demand is too high for the US plants to keep up. It's probably cheaper to build them in China, instead of shipping them over, either whole or in pieces.
Cheaper for the company and cheaper for the consumer.

Listen here dumbass. China imposed big ass import tariffs in December 2011. Since then they've dealt with it until they could do something about it. What is their decision? To open a factory in China. This is however NOT causing a lose of jobs in America as they added 1,100 jobs in October and intend to add another 1,100 this fall.
Can you critically think about anything? Look into reasons why? IF it would be troublesome for US jobs? Or do you just look at the words "Jeep" and "China" and go all HERP DERP? God damn.
