I enjoyed last night's episode (I always do), but I thought it was reeeeallly jokey. Like, bah-dum-BUM jokes.
Still funny, though.
LOVED that Phil made a buddy, it was really sweet. Honey, the guy in the trees cool!" was great.

My favorite was:
Haley: did't my third grade teacher say I have ADD?
Claire: no she said you couldn't A-D-D because she also knew you couldn't S-P-E-L-L
Haley: wait you're going too fast -- oh.
and Haley: dear college, cheese makes me gassy
Claire: you're not really starting your essay with "dear college" are you?
I thought the final scene with Cam and the woman was fantastic! Also loved seeing Jennifer Tilly.
iflip, I thought the "dear college" thing was funny too.

Another HILLARIOUS episode.

"In my country it is considered very, very bad luck when your house burns down."
Tonight's was my favorite episode of the third season. It was a perfectly constructed State of the Family. I loved the jump cuts to snips shot on location in the dude ranch, like a reality show would do.
I loved this episode!!! I was laughing so hard!
Every episode of this show is consistently funny. This is without question the funniest show on TV right now.

"Just three more seconds girls, and you would've gotten away with it."
I also liked Josh Gad as a guest-star.
Tonight's episode was outstanding.
This is the only show that can have me roaring with laughter, but then feeling oddly sentimental a moment later.

"At least we have a guradian angelllll, AAAAAAAHHHHHH A SPIDER!!!"
I loved how "El Diablo" ie the dog butler made an appearance.
I met Josh Gad yesterday. I really wanted to open with, "What instrument does Yo-Yo Ma play?... CELLO!" But I chickened out and went with a standard, "Hello, it's nice to meet you."
I did later tell him that I loved his guest spot on Modern Family. He said he had a great time filming it. Because of his Book of Mormon schedule it was tough to fit it in. I believe he said that he flew out to LA on a Monday morning, filmed on Monday, flew back to NYC on Tuesday, and did his show that night.
"No, he makes it more fun because he was in a real war! He says cool things like, 'See you in hell, Klaus!' Ha ha, I don't even know what that means!"
The show returned in great form!! Love Ben Bratt in his guest appearances.

"Claire is like the son my dad always wanted. He just wanted someone to throw a ball in the backyard, I did once but he did not attend."
Maybe the best line ever written on that show.
I loved the ball line. So subtle. Fantastic.
