Just got around to watching the episodes. A rare miss, on both counts.
I didn't love the dude ranch, but I thought the second one was right on track.
I actually enjoyed both episodes, though I won't say either of them will go down as the greatest of the series.
I nearly fell off the couch when Luke told Lilly, "This isn't over."
Speaking of which, I'm going to have to get used to the new Lilly dynamic. It was almost like the dead pan baby knew how ridiculous the whole family was.
No idea how old the baby is, but she looks/act much older than three. That's what threw me most about the transition.
Good point, AC.
Cam's banner in Episode 2 is easily the funniest thing I have EVER seen on the show.

OK, now THAT was a brilliant episode. The Streetcar references, "offensive line", etc. We rewound the "offensive line" line a couple of times to savor it.

O-M-G.
That "offensive line" line killed me. KILLED me. Hilarious.
"Help! He's sliding out of his skinny jeans!"
I don't know why, but that cracked me up.

I could see the "same exact closet' line coming a mile away, but I STILL laughed!
I just can't get over how much this show IS my family.
When you look at the relationship between Mitch and Cam, I am Cam.
When you look at the relationship with Mitch and Claire, I am Mitch.
Claire IS my sister. Absolutely like they based the character 100% on my sister. It's not as funny in real life.
Jay is a hybrid of my Mom and Stepdad.
Phil is my brother-in-law (also not as funny in real life.)
Gloria is all of us.
And my dog is Lilly from the first two seasons.
I just love this show. I didn't like it at first. It took like 7 episodes to get me on board. But now I am.
I keep hoping I'll like the show more than I do, but for some reason, it never really becomes hilarious for me. Amusing and occaisonally humorous is about as far as it gets. I love the cast and I think they're really talented, but I find myself getting disinterested in the stories. Like the dude ranch, the tightrope and the stop sign stories.
Funny - because that's EXACTLY what I think of Revenge - I keep wanting it to get good, but it just bores the hell out of me. My wife loves it, so I watch sometimes while she has it on, but it doesn't do anything for me.
To each his own.

Right now I think this show and "Parks & Recreation" are funniest shows on television.
He's my brotha from anotha mutha.............I don't know why but for some reason the way Phil said that cracked me up.
"You have the whole package, I just prefer someone with one." Pretty good episode tonight!
