I was gonna say The Hurt Locker, because I realized I had wasted two hours of my life and wanted my money back.
That was a disturbing ending.

A Chorus Line. It's just disturbing that any of those untalented, ugly people would ever be chosen to back up a glamorous star in a Broadway musical.

THE FOX AND THE HOUND
I saw that movie as a kid and it's the first movie I ever remember giving me a lump in my throat.

Taz, no movie scarred me as a child like THE FOX AND THE HOUND did. The government should force Disney to pay for support groups for people who saw that movie when they were young and are still experiencing the side effects from it.

I wept for hours after that damn movie.
Sobbed like I was hyper-ventilating.
I was a sensitive child and that movie just broke me.

Let the record show that I totally fantasized about Charles McGowan, who played Mike in A CHORUS LINE. And Gregg Burge's crazy extenda-leg caused some tingling down below, as well.
I'd say SNOOPY COME HOME, but it was really the middle act that left me sobbing uncontrollably .

Oh man, you guys!
Snoopy Come Home is another one. When Charlie Brown gets up in the middle of the night and has a lonely bowl of cereal while a sad song plays to an empty doghouse.
Buckets.

I...I can't. Not even OLD YELLER and my beloved Tommy Kirk managed to wreck me as much as SNOOPY COME HOME.

Even though I consider it one of my favorite movies, the end of Pan's Labyrinth is incredibly upsetting. (Which isn't really a surprise, given the rest of the movie.)
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Thanks Jordan for reminding me of The Fox and the Hound.
Now that I remember, Night of the Living Dead had a sort of disturbing ending.

I refuse to watch Old Yeller.
Won't do it.
I'm still not sure what message The Fox and the Hound was trying to convey. Because what I got was that society will not let people (or animals) who are different ever be friends.
Just a depressing and sad miss on all counts.
Oh, and it was sad long before the ending too. The sweet granny dies, the fox and hound get separated, like NOTHING good happens in that movie at all.

I didn't make it to the end of HURT LOCKER -- I fell asleep.

I didn't really care for The Hurt Locker either.
Didn't hate it, just felt it was over-rated.
