Saving Private Ryan - The first 20 minutes are too difficult to sit through again.
Looking for Mr. Goodbar - The final scene is the most disturbing thing I've witnessed on film. It gave me nightmares.
The Exorcist - Though I've seen it a few times, I can never watch the entire film in one sitting.
Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction - I will never put myself through that again.
Though I've never seen it, I know I will never watch Irreversible based on what I've heard.

I adore John Goodman in everything that he does, including the recent episodes of Studio 60. He is truly fantastic.
This is going to sound weird, but I cannot finish watching The Crucible. I could not finish reading the play, and I can't finish watching the film. It's so frustrating and it makes me cry.

I love horror films and films that make me cry, so I'd say none.
Though I cry most at The Color Purple and The Joy Luck Club, I watch each every chance I get.

Requiem for a Dream, hands down. I think it's brilliant, but I don't know if I can ever watch it again.
STEPMOM. When Susan Sarandon is saying goodbye to her kids on Christmas, and her little boy leaves and says "Will you make sure dad double knots my shoes the way that you do?" It kills me.

I can't watch any holocaust movie. I tried to see "The Pianist" but had to run out of the theater freaked out. I also ran out of "Boys Don't Cry" when I felt the violent ending setting up.
Animals getting killed is another thing I never want to see. Slavery, torture, and anything related to terrorism and 9/11 are subjects I can't watch at all.

THE STRAIGHT STORY: I have never cried so much in a movie...reminds me of my grandfather
I almost had to turn away from REQUIEM FOR A DREAM and DANCER IN THE DARK, but I didn't.

I third Fox and a Hound.....I cried like an infant!!
On then other end of the spectrum....Aracnaphobia...I cried because I am terrified of spiders, and my brother forced me to watch the movie. Wow, that was a long time ago
Personally, I can't watch any horror film. I refuse to watch any of the movies made about 9/11 yet.

Posted: 11/21/06 at 2:21pmI was so traumatized by "The Brave Little Toaster" when I was little that I refuse to watch it to this day. My mom says that if I even saw the box to the movie, I would start screaming.

"The Incident" - A very creepy early sixties movie set on a subway train. Two thugs (one is Martin Sheen) terrorize a carload of subway riders with verbal and physical abuse. The movie touches on all areas - they terrorize a gay man, an african american and his wife, an older lady with a a wimpy husband, a soldier (extremely young Beau Bridges) and a couple with a young child (Ed McMahon plays the father). It's terrifying as they people do nothing to prevent the violence to one another.
"Glengarry Glenn Ross" - The emotional violence in this movie about a real estate office and the wise guy who comes in to terrorize and humiliate them into selling more land (Alec Baldwin) is just too emotionally abusive for me to take. I wanted to leave the theater when I saw it for the first time.

* I cannot watch "Into the Bedroom" again. It's excellent in its portrayal of grief; so excellent that it's excruciating to watch. And the last 20 minutes were so harrowing that I don't think I can willingly put myself through it again.
* Dumbo and (I'm so embarassed to admit this) Muppets Take Manhattan destroyed me as a kid. Any movie that deals with abandonment or goodbyes always kills me. I haven't watched either in about 16 years.
Kitzy, I was the same way about The Brave Little Toaster. Thank God I wasn't the only one!
