Posted: 8/3/04 at 9:24pmDoes anybody know when Tom Hewitt is scheduled to take a vacation? And how good are seats 115 and 117 row P? Too far back? I either like to be in front row orchestra to the side so I can see into the wings or back row balcony. Does anybody know if Tom is scheduled to come back for the first anniversary show the way Harvey keeps dropping in on the Hairspray milestones?

Tom Hewitt is going to be out on vacation September 15th - January 4th, because he'll be workshoping a new musical in India based on the life of St. Patrick.
If you want to sit in 115 & 117 they're okay, but you can't see backstage. You'll have to sit in row J 101 or 102, and OMG those are hard to get! But 102 is SOOOOOO kewl because you can see into Erico's dressing room!
Also, my sister asked Tom Hewitt if he was going to be back for the anniversary and he spit on her so I guess not.

I just wanna say that I seen DRACULA and I thought it sucked. Big time! Okay, the sets are awesome and dreamy Tom Hewitt is amazing as Count Chocula, but like really, where does this story go? I mean you can have flying thingies all over the place, but does it add anything to the show?
Okay, look, the music is nice, but I really was hoping there'd more more stuff like the stuff that was so good in JEKKIE. I mean, I liked that music alot. But what's here? Tune after tune and they all sound different.
My prognostication is that this show won't be getting any Tony noms, but the sets will.
Wait a minute! I said that Dracula sucked, right? Hey, that's funny!

You may ruv Tom Hewitt but you won't like anything else in this production of a show. I mean, really! Singing vampires? Flying thingies? What good are they?
I say take your money and see RENT because RENT is good, It's also kewel. My parents took me to this production of a show because I cleaned out the backseat of their BMW and they didn't bother staying for it. They said it was noxious, but I didn't know what that meant and I still don't. Instead, they left me at the production of a show with my bratty seven year old brother and they went to some bar and drank martinis while I sat there watching sets move all over the place.
At least they got drunk. All I got was bored.

Posted: 8/3/04 at 10:28pmMy parents don't fight they drink. I always know when they've had too much because my father keeps referring to my mother as "Corine". Her name is really Mati (or at least that's what her theater pals call her!)
#59re: my dracula review: preview #13
Posted: 8/3/04 at 10:33pmLOL, he calls her the wrong name! That's funny because my mom tells me my dads name is Mark when it's Anthony and that's funny because his brothers name is Mark! LOL

brilliant thread! starts off strong, stays consistent throughout. my hat is off to all involved. cheers to Frank and company for Broadway's newest bad show ripe for parody. Wicked has been shouldering the load alone for too long.

Question: I'm coming to New York for one day (actually just a few hours) and would like to collect as many autographs as possible. I put a premium on signatures of people basically unknown outside of the perimeter formed by W 40th - W 52nd Street and Broadway and 10th Avenue. Does anyone know if Tom Hewitt or Melissa or anyone else in this show stays afterwards to sign programs?
It would mean so much to most of my 9 children.

Posted: 8/3/04 at 10:46pmNoone dressed like Dracula when I seen the show with my bratty seven year old brother. I really hate that kid. He fell asleep during the production of that show and drooled all over the lady who was sitting next to him. I think someone said her name was Liz Smith or something. Creepy!

OMG! OMG! LOL! Life's too short! OMG!
I read that on ATC (All That Scat) between all the cruel posts making fun of me but I thought it was just a bunch of homosexuals mocking the way some people write gushy posts about Bway (Broadway) shows!

OMG!!! OMG!!!!!! Carly Simon is the new Tracy in HAIRSPLAYED! This is totally amazing. I'm sure she'll be amazing! I'll have to tell my father about it when he sobers up! I know he'll take me if I keep hiding all those letters he'd been getting from "Corine".
This is amazing news!!!!!!!

I saw Carly as a put-in for Idina and she was incredible. They had a hard time lifting her and she lapsed a little bit from Defying Gravity into the theme song from Working Girl, but I loved her. And my seats were great, too. She stayed after to sign autographs and stayed until she penned a note to every person there.
I didn't know she was auditioning for other shows, let alone that she actually got another role. GOOD FOR HER!

Posted: 8/3/04 at 11:00pmMy health teacher told me that when two men live together they are called "Homosapiens" or something like that. When they kiss they produce dogs and cats. At least I think that's what she said. I wasn't really paying attention. I was reading SHOW PEOPLE magazine instead of really listening. I mean, Health is soooo boring.
