And how much did you pay to get into these revival meetings, anyway?

Oh great ones who seem to know all; show us the way lol
Crusades are always free; they're held all around the world, including the poorest countries. And thousands, millions, have been healed, from young babies to people in their 90's; and if you're calling them "all" liars, then I dare you to tell it to their face.
You don't know; you haven't even seen anything; you're just making a false, totally closed-minded assumption.
There is a difference between being open minded and being gullible. You say "MILLIONS?" Provide ONE link with HARD evidence that someone was CURED by your little healer friend. Just ONE.
so, did it look anything like the ones that happen in this movie?

try reading this interview with the youngest ordained minister and see if any of it sounds familiar...

I hope your grandmother feels better, however your comment about aethiests being terrorists without weapons was disgusting

Look ... all I know is that I've been to crusades -- they're all free -- and seen crusades on TV where millions have been healed on stage and in the audience; where people have risen out of chairs after being confined for their entire lives, been cured of life-threatening illnesses, no longer needing that major surgery tomorrow, being rid of the condition which doctors gave the patient a few weeks to live, etc, etc. All I know is that my back is now straight. All I know is what I see and feel; and if you wanna keep trying to dis-prove something that you've never seen or felt or don't know anything about, go right ahead. There are entire publications written on this very thing, and it's pathetic. There are plenty of things in this world -- and things that have historically gone on for thousands of years -- that cannot be explained medically or scientifically, no matter how much we advance in those fields.
And I never meant that all athiests are terrorists without weapons; many athiests are open-minded. I was referring to the ones who are completely closed-minded and totally turn themselves off to different possibilities and only believe that they're right.
I even have trouble with just regular Christians who are like this.
Actually, atheists are not open-minded when it comes to the existence of God. They're adamant that no such being exists. Just like deeply religious people can't see it any other way. Agnostics, on the other hand, are the ones who question but are open to the possible existence of God or a higher being.
As for the crusades (the miracle shows, not the holy wars), how can you be so certain that each and every person is forever healed afterward? I've always been suspicious of things like that. Are you familiar with confidence games? Like the "fake cripple" (the panhandler in the wheelchair), get-rich-quick schemes, and so-called psychic surgery (sleight-of-hand tricks)? All I'm saying is be careful and don't put too much faith in something that it makes you blind.
As Sondheim brilliantly wrote in INTO THE WOODS:
Do not put your faith
In a cape and a hood
They will not protect you
The way that they should
And take extra care with strangers
Even flowers have their dangers
And though scary is exciting
Nice is different than good

I consider myself extremely open-minded, and while I am deeply religious, I am quite liberal and take the "anything is possible" stance. But I've seen so many crusades and witnessed and read about so many miracles (cripples walking perfectly, deaf hearing, blind seeing, etc) that ... whatever the "longevity factor" is, some invisible power we do not know about medically or scientifically is at work here. Nobody can deny that.
And ITW is one of my favorite musicals, BTW :)

Oh, and BTW, regarding athiests: yeah, you're correct in saying that many of them are closed-minded. Got them and agnostics mixed up ... knew the difference; just a brain lapse :)

Not like those hardcore right-wingers. What's ironic is that the majority of them do support stem-cell research.
