My cat snores

My Cat, Fiyero, is a non-stop delight. Not only is the the snuggleist cat ever, but he dances when you pet him and and grunts with joy when you hold him in your arms like a baby. Sometimes I think he spends his 3 or 4 non-sleeping hours a day thinking of cute things to do.

I was listening to the radio, checking a few websites just now when I heard a weird, rhythmic noise. I turned off the radio. It almost sounded like snoring, but I'm the only one home. I walked out into the living room and it got louder. The cat was napping on the sofa snoring. I could hear it over the radio in the next room.

Isn't that adorable? I have never heard a cat snore before, but leave it to Fiyero.

re: My cat snores

That's so cute, Joe! One of my cats back home, Jakey, has some sinus issues so when he sleeps, he both snorts and snores.

re: My cat snores

One of mine brays like a donkey in the morning, and if that does not wake me up, smacks me in the head a few times to make sure I am good and awake to feed him.

I should call him piglet instead of Stoli.

Luckily, the other one just squeaks.

re: My cat snores

His one not-so-cute habit is that he is absolutely unable to "Sleep in" and feels it necessary to wake me & my BF up at about 5 AM every day. He will bite our feet, tap our noses, burrow under the covers, whatever necessary to wake us up. I've tried to explain that we humans only sleep a few hours and can't "Make it up" with a 6 or seven hour nap in the middle of the day. He is unimpressed; Wake up time is 5AM!

Joe, mine snores so loud sometimes that customers ask "who's asleep"

and he really gets loud when he has a nightmare

re: My cat snores

lol sorry......I do all my work (with schools) on the phone.
The cat sleeps under my computer table.......he can be noisy. When he whines and howls to get attention, people have asked "who is beating the baby?".

re: My cat snores

Joe, I think we have the same cat. He gets me up at 5:30 every day without fail. They other day, though, he thought 4 AM was appropriate.

Same here, he taps my head w/ his paw, or knocks stuff off my nightstand or bites my feet.

And we love them WHY?

re: My cat snores

Well, I don't have a cat, but I have a dog. He's deathly afaid of storms. So if it thunders outside, he must come in and run around the room whining. He also can't stand high-pitched noises. A couple times, we've had power surges or the power's gone out and there is this high-pitched beep. He's totally flipped everytime. He has to go outside no matter how stormy it is. Last time he could barely see out there because it was raining so hard. I guess he's more afraid of the noise than of the storm.

re: My cat snores

my cat howls.......could be 3AM, could be 4..never the same.....he's in the family room, suddenly realizes he is not being entertained and howls.......wakes me up, I start snapping my fingers, and he runs down the hall, jumps on the bed and goes to sleep.

I can just see him now... sleeping on one of those fluffy clouds. So peaceful.

re: My cat snores

Well it's not far from the fluffy couch he always fought me for. If he saw me going near the living room, he'd FLY in there to the good seat on the couch to beat me to it.
