i've never seen this show, but the comercials for it made me want ot start watching it... however house md also starts tonight...
are the past seasons of nip/tuck on dvd?

Yes, Abba, seasons 1-3 are on DVD. IMO, S2 was the strongest.

Yes, Abba. The fourth season starts tonight and one through three are available on DVD. I wouldn't start watching until you have caught up on the other seasons.

Abba - warning, Nip/Tuck is an addiction!

And I agree with blueroses, Season 2 was the strongest. But definitely watch Season 1. The show is very character-driven, and Season 1 sets up their very expensive baggage quite nicely...makes the subsequent seasons more interesting (issues resurface, and believe me, these people have issues!).

What season had the bulk of the Ava stuff? Season 2? That was my favorite. I thought season 3 got too caught up with the Carver stuff. It got a little too unbelievable. Looking forward to this season.

Yes, S2 had the Christian/Sean threesome, Ava, a brilliant turn by Alec Baldwin and more deliciousness. I hated the beginning of S3, but it picked up at the end, thanks to the Cherry Peck and Brittany Snow story arcs. I only got into The Carver storyline during the last couple of weeks.

This show is my crack. I think it is one of the best written shows on television. And to agree with everyone, season 2 has been the best so far.

Unfortunately since I live in Toronto I am currently not getting Nip/Tuck because the broadcaster who picks it up in Canada has decided to delay its premiere (with no given date). So I will be going through withdrawl.

I NEED MY NIP/TUCK!

Only on Nip/Tuck can an episode featuring a mother/daughter threesome, testicular implants, a phone sex operator's voice lift and an unborn baby being diagnosed w/ectodactyly can be considered slow-paced!

In terms of Nip/Tuck, it was kind of slow, IMO. But I have a feeling it's going to be a very good season, too. I knew they'd eventually question Christian's orientation, and they'd toy with the idea of his relationship with Sean going in a sexual direction. Personally, I just love the existing love story between two straight men and they don't need to take it there. Though, I wouldn't mind a dream-sequence scene!

Ryan Murphy is so damn creative and I can't wait to see what else he has up his sleeve. My delicious campy pleasure is back!

A little tired of the "Christian struggling with..." storyline. They've addressed so many issues with him and dropped them.

Bring back The Carver.

It looks like Brooke Sheilds is gonna go kinda ape-poopy on Christian. It was kind of slow for a season opener. Of course, I am watching it again. Anyone else find it odd that there was no mention of most of the bog things from last year? no Carver. No Ariel stuff. No Matt.

I am very interested to watch the direction that they take with the baby. I hope they don't have some kind of wuss out and have him born typical or be stillborn. I don't know that any show has ever tackled the raising of a special needs child. I guess Life Goes On came the closest and Corky was already a teen.
