The deformity Ryan Murphy chose is interesting. Sean is a gifted surgeon...his hands are everything to him. When Quentin threatened to cut them off, Christian was going to sacrifice himself. Figures that when he is expecting his first son (since Matt is genetically Christian's), he can't even pass along the one physical trait that makes HIM special. And of course, everything's always out of Sean's "hands" (control)--his relationship with Julia, Matt, his business and now the fate of his child. A physical problem that he of all people can't fix, which has to be maddening.

In typical Nip Tuck fashion, the deformity probably won't be THAT bad, and the dynamic duo will probably come to the rescue with a groundbreaking surgical feat that won't leave any scars!

ipecac--I'd like to think The Carver will pay us a visit, but I'm still waiting for Ava to show up. Her absence was one long tease last season.

I'm watching it for the first time tonight, to see what the hype is all about.

I'm loving it! Now I have go back and watch the old eps.

(Curiosly, I'm also loving the preview for the movies...looks like Sony has a good lot this fall...)

I love this show and am happy it's back. I hope they pick up on the Ariel, Matt and transsexual (forget the character's name) story soon. Talk about a cliffhanger...

Great "old school" Nip/Tuck episode. Last night reminded me of Season 1. Even if it was a bit slow (that is, slow by Nip/Tuck standards), it was fantastic.

It should be interesting with the baby, selling the business, and the whole Brooke Shields thing. I do hope the whole therapay thing doesn't get Sopranos-ish. That would get tired very quickly.

Why was Matt "in the garage?" Even little Annie got some camera-time last night. I also wonder what's up with Kimber?

Oh, who knows what the eff is up with Matt, peach! I can't stand looking at his weird face. But he always winds up with the great storylines...the accident, Ava, NaziGirl g/f and Cherry Peck. I just wanna see how they explain how Cherry had the strength to not only rise from the grave after having her schlong cut off, but to hit NaziDad! Aside from her horrible pain, I don't know how she'd survive the loss of blood alone.

I found it odd that there was no recap of last season before last night's show. That, and the fact that you don't see Matt in any of the clips from the coming season leads me to believe that they're dropping his storyline.

Well, John Bobbitt did it.

The thing about that storyline that got me was the time issue. Matt went to school and Ariel's dad got him. During this time, the girls dorm was attacked, they went to Quentin's house and find him tied up, they prepped him for surgery, he attacked Gina, he got the guys, the cops shot him, they repaired Gina's face, they flew to Maine, talked to the nun and flew back. Then after ALL of that, Matt comes home? How long did he have to be gone? They whole letting Matt stay with Ava was bad enough but at least they knew where he was. They had no questions when he disappears for what had to be a week?

Re: the time frame. That does sound sketchy! I'll have to check out the S3 finale (I don't have it on DVD yet)

Wait! Are you intimating that the McNamaras are so self-absorbed and focused on themselves that they'd be clueless about what's going on with their extremely impressionable, troubled son? Who knows? From the previews, it looks like he's gonna develop the hots for Kimber.

Well, yes, Gina is the biggest whore. I meant that Kimber seems to be working her way through the characters. While Julia has slept with both main characters as well, she did it 17 years apart. Not Kimber. And now it looks like she might be boinking the son. Not to mention the number of men who have released the goalie into the latex version of her.

I saw that, too. I wanted to buy one. It would just be like a lifesize barbie. I can dress her up and fix her hair. 5k for a doll seems a bit much, though. :P

Matt will be back - I've read spoilers I won't go into here - if you want to read them they are on spoilerfix.com. But I have also heard Cherry Peck and Matt's Tranny fixation do play a part this season as well.

This show is worse than crack. I can't get enough of it!

A well-placed source tells the New York Daily News that Rosie O'Donnell, who guests on the Oct. 3 and 17 episodes of Nip/Tuck, is being eyed to topline a spin-off of the FX series, reprising her character of a housewife who wins $381 million in the lottery, goes on a lipo binge, then returns to New York to dump her husband and embrace her new lease on life. The spin-off would be shot as a half-hour show and penned by Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy, and be blogged about endlessly by Ms. O.

Interesting. I always wanted him to let some characters from Popular guest star on Nip/Tuck, like Mary Cherry or her mom Cherry Cherry (yay Delta). I can see them getting some mother/daughter lipo.

I for one am very glad there was no mention of the carver. I had enough of that story line. Now the show is back to it's fun self. LOVE IT!
