NJ's race...

"Whoever wins the loser is the citizens of NJ."

Agreed.

Ahhhh to live in New Jersey. I'm really going to miss this high-school quality, bitchy catfight they've been referring to as "campaigning."

I thought the commercial with the quote from Corzine's ex-wife couldn't be beat, but then he gets his wife on to defend him...

Beautiful.

I feel bad that you out-of-staters are missing out on the REALLY good politics going on in my town. The mayor's in jail because he was involved with the mob and that's just the beginning. It's truly spectacular.

I love this state.

Roxy...that's really kind of silly. There's no one you can trust? Very X-Files.
I'm sure you could find a thrid party candidtate that you can trust. Not voting for someone just because you don't think they are going to win doesn't make a lot of sense. Hell..write yourself in!

Mr. Roxy, I don't know which is more disturbing: The fact that you do not vote or the fact that you're PROUD of not voting. If you don't trust any of the candidates running, go into the booth and write yourself in.

As others have said, it's a bad example to the younger set on this board when people are brazen about their non-voting. The mind truly boggles...

ETA: Per the NJ race, I think Corzine should win. He's been a very good senator, and although you may not like him as a person, but I've been under the impression for 30+ years that a candidate's issues are more important than their private life...

Now I miss that commercial, too!

I shoulda voted for Ed "Weedman" Forchion. If I had to go to any of the candidate's parties tonight, I'll bet his would be the best.

I'm glad the Dems won but I will miss those "Corzine sleeps with Sheep" commercials. Oh well, there's always next year.

I'm a liberal Democrat to the left of Susan Sontag, may she rest in ... But if I still lived in Manhattan, where I thrived for 24 happy years, I would've pulled the plunger for Bloomberg, because the alternative was weak and lacking in every dept. And frankly, because Bloomie is basically a Democrat anyway, still, as we all know.

But NJ? Not so angst ridden.

Now that I've got 2 1/2 years in NJ, I was happy to show up and support the Democrat here. To keep Jersey Blue. But it was ugly, watching two billionaires slug it out. Ugh. I will be pleased to awaken and not see another ad, as has been thoughtfully posted already.

My cynicism bespeaks middle age. And yet Mr. Roxy is dead wrong, however. If we sleepwalk to the polling place and creep into the booth disenchanted, we must still vote. It's like eating and taking a d--p. It's what defines us. Separates us from the Intelligently Designed primates. We must demonstrate our freedom by exercising it. Period.
