I grew up & lived in Astoria for over 35 years. Do you remember the Loews Triboro theater? Did you know 4 movie theaters once lined Steinway St ?

How are things there ?

That's great Liam. It's more fun staying in a hotel and spending more time in the city. Just make sure you're bundled up good. Use one of those ski masks that cover your face if you can. (See Margo's note). The wind blows twice as hard between those big buildings in NY.

3 degrees farenheit is minus 16 degrees celcius.
It's minus 35 degrees celcius where I live right now.

Yeah it's pretty freezing down here in pa. And whenever I have to go outside for the bus, my mom has the urge to tell me the exact temperature. (Stupid woman who get 2 more hours of sleep)

Roni needs to see it and she is cheap.
It is 12 now, no snow.

It's snowing heavily on Long Island. We're supposed to get as much as 24" in this area--and drifting will result from the strong winds. My son and I went grocery shopping last night and the store had no bread left and milk was scarce--as were the snacks. I have a huge pot of chicken vegetable soup simmering on the stove right now and a good wood fire burning in the hearth. There's plenty of good music to listen to and a bunch of scented candles to burn. Let it snow!
