I was actually supposed to be on a plane to San Diego in 3 hours, but mother nature had other plans. Now I'm considering doing the Q lottery in a winter wonderland wince I'm stuck in the city until Monday!

WE is my friends. And I have gone out twice with other members ( all really nice) and will be going with Dgrant , Dame, and Laactress to see pippin. I will also be meeting Boobs when he comes to town in Febuary as well as Addie.

Ah thanks, but I've been home recovering from ear surgery (that is why I've been on here a lot lately, trying to just chill). Plus, I am trying to get my house presentable to show...looking for a roommate to move in by the 1st so I'm hoping to have people come look at it this coming week. Maybe another time!?

The snow storm is not just in New York. I live in Hartford, CT and we are supposed to get 25 or more inches. I made it out to synagogue this morning in minus 6 degree weather dressed in slacks. I always wear a dress to services but today was the exception. It started snowing here at 2pm as predicted. I have plenty of cocoa, lentil soup and hot tea to keep me warm. All I need is a man.

I sure do miss the winter weather. I moved from the cold snowy winters of Buffalo to the warm sunny weather of California. Hearing about all the snow that my family is getting right now makes me wish I was there so bad instead of this 73 degree weather we have here. I Love Snow.
You may know what you need but to get what you want better see that you keep what you have.

Iris- I'm in Studio City, actually, they technically changed the name of my area to Valley Village (but it's basically Studio City)...so yes, it's in the valley.

This storm is slightly ridiculous... visibility is zero and Im snowed in at a hotel in NYC. Thanks to my lovely new job (in cashmere, baby) I have a clothing expo this weekend and was here today to help set up the booth. Looks like Im staying here now... thank god I had the foresight to bring extra clothes with me just in case because looking outside now, I know there's no way Im getting home to CT tonight.
We're supposed to get something insane like 22-25 inches of snow... well damn. Should make the expo interesting tomorrow!

mel, be happy you're not here... it's TERRIBLE! i spent about 2 hours today at work outside in the 2 degree weather moving giant wooden bookshelves that weigh twice as much as me on a dolly. my body hurts and hey, its not easy driving out there. of course i didn't get stuck until i got to my house, so it was alright. but i am NOT going back out there for the rest of the day.

i'm totally stuck. i was supposed to be volunteering at an animal shelter tonight. oh well, i'm sure no one is adopting tonight. the stupid plow truck is just DRIVING AROUND, the plow itself isn't down.

It's still snowing in Chicago (stupid lake effect snow) and the paths that I shoveled around noon are almost all covered again. I hope one of my neighbors in the building gets out there soon to pick up the slack.
On the plus side -- my dog is loving it! Jumps around like a rabbit, sticks her entire head in the snow, etc. If only I could get a tiny shovel in her paws...
