Civilians should not carry guns. But we should carry army knives to cut our way out of nets.
Robbiej makes a valid point. I mean, just look at Al Roker. He's press and carries a gun.
Those are the days when the Today Show staff stays pretty damn quiet on the set.

Why did it take me so long to crack the code??? We all got so wrapped up in the story that we failed to see the obvious. Corine, you ninny, the cop was coming on to you. Why else would he want to see your ID? He was looking for an address. (You know why waste time with a tourist?) Possibly a date of birth, just to verify you're old enough to be out on the streets alone. Did he ask for your phone number? Bet he did but you just didn't mention it.
Will you be taking the same route tonight? Be prepared with some business cards. Of course they need your cell phone number included. But explain the phone will be off because you'll be attending the theatre. I hear tell that cops love theater. All that drama. What a love match.

Tomorrow, on a very special Oprah:
"I WAS NETTED IN NEW YORK"
Hear ACTUALY accounts of victims CAUGHT in the nets.
..."my ring got stuck in the net. It was terrible..."
..."I couldn't believe I was in an orange net. For God's sake, I was wearing RED!! Do you know how that clashes?..."
Not for the faint of heart. Tune in Tomorrow!
So THAT'S why Dreyfuss left SLY FOX. He would have been too traumatized going through that again.
