There certainly has been quite a bit of editing here recently.

Corine used her press pass to scam her way out of arrest. A big net was draped over midtown Manhattan. Matt was hit by a stun gun. I was doing rope tricks.

We now join our program already in progress....

I definintely wouldn't count on the media being accurate. After their reports about the bike incident Friday ... which I happened to be involved in. They were so false it wasn't even funny. It is so far from funny. It is offensive and disgusting. Not to mention finding out this has been planned for 4 months. So I don't want to hear any b*llsh*t that the cops are "saving the day" from out of control rioters. They're breaking up totally peaceful groups to make a statement. I was told I was arrested for protesting. Last time I checked that was still a first amendment right we had. What has this country come to?

They were not going to arrest me Zola. I did nothing but be in the wrong place at the wrong time. They just asked for id and released me.
Today I talked to a very nice officer in the subway. He told me the safest thing I should do is go home after work.
I have theater tonight.
I can't wait for the City to go back to pre Republican convention.
2 MORE DAYS.

If the police officer asked for your ID, I am confused with why you would show them your Press ID instead of a driver's license. Now - I could be wrong (so please forgive me) but does your press badge even have a photo on it? Many I have seen do not.

I showed my permit (I don't have a lic and the pass)
I grew up in the City. Some of us don't drive.
I showed the permit first and he asked for more.

corrine - who cares what everyone thinks of this situation?!? who cares if you showed them your press badge? ANyone who is bothering to argue with you in this situation hasn't been violated this week by the police. And they certainly don't live in my neighborhood (battery park city) where you have to have a special ID to get anywhere! Clearly the city is a bit out of control. Some people are lucky to have missed out on all of this. But I find it really insulting how everyone is harrassing you about this. And naive.

So Chorine, what do you show as ID when you go out to a bar? Just because you don't drive doesn't mean you should not have a proper State ID. Does your "press pass" have your DOB?

I have a drivers permit.(Learners)
I also have a passport.
And I do get carded sometimes, which makes me very happy most of the time.
