Ok, I know it's tempting to joke about this but this is a real question. It turns out I'm going to be living by myself in my apt in a month and really can't afford it alone at this point and getting another roommate to share the same living situation I have now isn't really possible because of my dog and yadda yadda yadda.
So I need to find a way to earn an extra $200 a week (since I got fired from rentboy.com) that hopefully I can do from home. Are there ANY work from home type jobs that people know about that might be possible? I have no clue if anyone will know but figured it's worth asking.
Thank you. I love you all.

Posted: 5/27/10 at 9:48pmI would love a work at home job as well. I spend almost all of my time taking care of the house and carting the kid from activity to activity but I would love to make some extra money.

Can you listen and type? And, do you have anything on your resume that would lend credence to your ability to listen and type?
I had a friend a few years back who did corporate transcription. Unlike medical transcription, you didn't need any kind of certification to do the work. She made very good money at it. I was in a job that was starting to hit the skids and she suggested picking up transcription work. I tried to apply, but everything on my resume at that time was food and beverage management, so the supervisor gave me short shrift. If you have any kind of a clerical background or an English degree you might consider checking it out. Lately I've considered re-applying now that I'm in a more "legitimate" position.

Wish I had more information but my Mom knew a lady who worked from home who worked for Ebay. She worked something like 18 hours a week and got paid twice a month. She use to work all hours of the day(by her choice) since her job was answering questions for people 24/7. She use to work from midnight til three AM and some days from nine AM til two or three. Only skills she had was she was a very fast typist. No benefits, but last I heard she still worked for them. My Mom lost touch with her but she has said recently she needs to call her and say hi. I'll have her look into it. She had worked there for about 5 or 6 years and this was 2 or 3 years ago,so I assume she liked the work. Maybe try a Google search or see if ebay has a link on their site for job opportunities. If I find out more info I'll PM you. Good luck!
P.S.
Maybe look into other sites that would hire similar help like Amazon.com or Half.com.

Posted: 5/28/10 at 10:38amHow does one get fired from Rentboy.com? I know one fellow who was hired by some guy to carry his luggage on vacation and even though he made the old guy lift his own luggage, he still got paid.

Posted: 5/28/10 at 11:12amI have done transcription for years. I hate it but I do it. I fugure it might be easier at home though without distractions.
