Surprised how significant the changes are. It's not just a refresh. It not only looks new, it feels new.
Lots of cool things with the camera. I've just started playing around with it, but it's definitely worth downloading. It does take a while to download.
If you don't have the new iphone yet -and I don't- it looks like your saved screen saver is slightly distorted as it's not in the slightly larger format. But all the saved photos are perfect, and now with a white instead of black frame.
The icons are larger, and if you bundle them in frames you have to scroll through a couple of pages to see them all. I haven't checked settings yet to see if you can reduce their size.
But at first glance it's brighter, cleaner and crisper.

Thank you so much. Downloading right now. I plan to play with it this weekend so I can get used to it. I heard the sound quality as far as music and its new radio is alot better. And I heard the camera even with the iPhone 4s is a big improvement. But we will see.

Taking a while, isn't it? And then when you think it's finished...HAH...the black screen with the white apple ever so slowly boots up. I half think the slow load is on purpose, to make us believe that the upgrades are so revolutionary that we simply HAVE to wait for them.

Upgraded this afternoon. It's very light, quick, and colorful. I'm not planning on upgrading to the 5S (my 5 is perfectly fine), but iOS7 certainly feels like an upgrade. The new app display is super handy, too.

So I upgraded . I'm on the 4S. I like it. Will take a little to get used to. The new radio is great. In the old os I used to be able to double click the home button and my open apps would appear . I would hold them down to quit them. How do I do that now?

I just downloaded it. I like it fine as far as functionality and new bells and whistles. They all seem to work well.
I'm not crazy about the white backgrounds and frames and lighter imagery. It makes things harder to read, and I think it takes away from the photos, videos, etc. Black is a better (probably more theatrical) background for presentation.
Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: I also think the older imagery (icons, frames, etc.) looked classier. This feels like kids stuff. Very Fisher-Price.

If you go to Settings > General > Accessibility and toggle Invert Colors it changes the background to black but it messes up the color in your photos so it's not really helpful for anything other than reading text.
You can increase the contrast to help with legibility for reading.

Thanks for the tip, but I just tried it, and it inverts ALL colors, not just black and white. So red becomes green, purple becomes yellow, etc. Even the YouTube videos and photo colors invert.

I put it on my iPad and couldn't figure out what the big deal about the home screen was supposed to be until I was looking at the icons and moved the device a bit.

Nope. Not really. But I am one of those that always thought Windows was trying to hard to look like Apple. But that is a old and tired discussion.

Is anyone else having trouble with their iMessage/Facetime? It keeps telling me to sign in with my Apple ID to activate it, and when I do it says to check my network connection or something. I'm guessing it's just a glitch, since my connection is fine and I know for sure I'm using the right username & password combination.

My wifi seems to be faster as well. And iMessage/Facetime also worked just fine for me.
