See above discussion on TMI, Jaily. re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!
I forgot. See what having 8 drinks can do to you? You're lucky I even stayed awake at all.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Oh, you forgot.

...You *didn't* stay awake.
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

ok, we have hijacked this thread away from its topic, which is the good times to be had with Popcultureboy here in the city. My next goal will be to get "How Could I Leave You?" up to performance speed for the next Mostly Sondheim night...

I'm just chafing to meet this chap...shall we take him to Rafaella's for dinner and/or drinks later this week, Bway?

Oh look I got threadjacked. re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Just got home from Orfeh at Feinstein's. I only went as Al Dente recommended her to me. I had no idea what I was in for.

Oh

My

God.

That woman sure can sing. Holy crap. She got a mid show standing ovation and left me with tears in my eyes with a rendition of The Love I Lost. I am most definitely now a fan.

unless the poker game is strip poker...

which could be fun and awesome.

Or maybe not.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Indeed, cookie. It was a different kind of fun to strip poker, but it was fun all the same re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!.

Phanty, we'll be taking him there Friday night. That's when the entire place is open right?
Glad you liked Orfeh! I have never seen her perform but she certainly has her fans.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Oh Friday night, huh? Cool.

And indeed Orfeh does. There were some, shall we say, freaky people there tonight. But I can see why she inspires such a committed following. It was an incredible evening. And now I am off to bed. Goodnight all.

I've never been there, but I heard Eddie and JRB are regulars.

Glad you had a good time at Orfeh Popcultureboy. We missed you at Therapy tonight! We'll make plans for next week for sure! re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

that's true Cookie -- but I am not sure it will include knights and/or pink drinks!

Then on the otherhand it WILL include a violin, bulgarian tapan, 4 mixed cymbals, 3 tuned gongs, a waterphone, and a 5-octave marimba....AND it will be warm and sunny!

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Wait. There was an outing (no pun intended) planned at Therapy?
Darn...ok, seriously, we need to drag a certain Brit visitor somewhere Wednesday and ply him with drinks until he's hammered and can't remember why he's even here and make sure he wakes up in someone else's bedroom.
I mean, that's what I want to do on my birthday so I can only assume Poppy does too.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Wasn't he hammered last weekend?

Are you sure you want another hangover PCB?
