re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Notice how my mouth is not moving...
By the way, just got around to catching up to this thread. Thank you for your kind comments, Poppy.
Weren't RobbieJ and Eddie excellent? I was especially shocked to hear Eddie. Not that I ever thought he wasn't anything other than excellent but he normally goes for the comedy...but his voice really fit "Not While I'm Around." Wow.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Le Varley was most definitely an unexpected treat with his choice of song, it must be said. Robbie's first number was my early birthday present from him, so I knew that would be fabulous. Everything else that night was the icing on the cake.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

The truly sad moment is that the talented Mostly Sondheim hosts did not have the sheet music to Little Shop of Horrors...because, quite frankly, Eddie and I were planning to tear up "Suddenly Seymour." I do a mean Ellen Greene...

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

bwaysinger, you and I need to have a Side Show moment somewhere. Nobody does I Will Never Leave You like us. re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

Awww, such sweet words, Thanks! I did want to sing something special for our visiting friend.

And you were in AMAZING voice BwayS! We WILL do that duet and soon! It was a treat seeing Undiscovered and BWW's own Jena Tesse Fox, Brandon Cutrell's "Mostly Sondheim Friday's" is a fun night.

Well, before I go back to London, I HAVE to hear that, Mr Singer. And while that may have been truly sad, at least there were some utterly hysterical moments provided by my reactions. I really need to work on my poker face, don't I?

Pop, no one does "Deer in headlights" quite like you. No one.
Eddie, that night is an absolute treat. I thought they did karaoke at that time (which is fun enough; I do love me some Tina-raoke!) but I really enjoyed myself. Now I have to start remembering the words to the songs I USED to sing when I was auditioning like a madman...

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Robbiej's "I'LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL drink to THAT!" during THE LADIES WHO LUNCH was musical comedy bliss!

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

ok. I have it. Eddie, Robbie and Bway will have our very own special Friday night show. I think, between the three of us, we'd have something for everyone, including a rousing rendition of "Lady Marmelade."

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Hey everyone. Just a couple of questions. What was all that talk about Fluff before? Someone PM me to tell me exactly what that was all about...thanks!

Also, that is so great that a bunch of the guys on this board are all hanging out together. Are you all just going to bars and getting wasted? Are you all going to shows together? I would love to come meet some of you and hang out and go to shows and talk about broadway.

Not too many of my friends are into broadway, and I am the most knowledgeable out of all of them. It would be great to hang out with people who are as obsessed as I am. Hopefully I can meet up with some of you in the future.

Well, I'm off to get Sweet Charity tickets for May 7th. I already have tickets to the first preview, but I'm going with friends on 5/7. Talk to you all soon!

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

What's a night out with the boys if y'don't get a little wasted? :)

I'm all for hanging out with Les Hommes...let's plan a plan, Stan.
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

*cough*
I'm pretty easy to find. If you know the places I *will* go, odds are you'll find me there on most nights...

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

If I remember correctly, your favorite place to go is...Down.

*smirk* I haven't seen you in a thousand years. We need to get a drink. (but not 89 drinks, like last time.)
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

I think the exact number of drinks I had was 8. That's more than enough for me, I'd say.
Down is not my favorite way to go, by the way. Up, as in upward mobility. If I had a rich man, deidle-deedle, deidle...
#191

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

How on *earth* can you remember the exact number of drinks you had? I barely remember where we *had* them. :)

Don't lie. I know you better than that :P

I should introduce you to my friend Rob, who owns a dating service called Club Elite. You're guaranteed to find your diedle-diedle-dee there re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

yes re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

I'll ask him if there's a lesbian equivalent, though. I'm sure there is.

I think I've heard you sing, missy! re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Club Elite. I like the sound of that. There's no whiff of the desperation of a 60 year old men clinging to youth by keeping a 19 year old boy. None whatsoever.
Sign me up.

On the infamous Daisy/Rathnait wav, I'm assuming...

And please do ask! I could use a little marrying up myself...

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

I knew it was you!!! Hi!!!!!!!! re: new york welcomes popcultureboy! VERY Alice, brava!

Actually, a lot of the guys are *really* sexy mid-30s extremely successful Wall Street types, bway. As soon as I finish cutting the last of the messy strings of this godawful heinous relationship with the crazy doctor, I'm going in for a consultation with Rob and one of his clients. I'll keep you abreast. :)
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Totally. I'd say your Alice rivals mine! :) (Ask Bethy, she'll explain.)

I'll give you his info, Bway. He's an incredibly sweet guy, and young prodigious talents always get first pick with his clients re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!
