re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

oh, see, last week is in the past. We're living in the here and now. And right here, right now, we have to make sure Poppy can't even remember his name tomorrow night. re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

That sounds like fun. There is always the chance I could get maudlin drunk and have to be talked down off a high building tomorrow night, so make sure I DON'T drink red wine but stick to vodka or martinis and that should do the trick.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

the only thing missing in last weekend's hangover and Bway's version is Pop waking up in someone else's bed...unless of course Pop is with holding details (smart thing to do, by the way!)

Don't get maudlin Pop -- the best is still ahead of you!

Early Happy B-day!

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Thank you KMF. And I know on Thursday I will be fine, but tomorrow could be a little rough.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

does someone need a special Josh hug?

::special Josh hug::
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Oh, Poppy. I must be the only human in existance who actually WANTS to get older so these dang casting directors will stop saying it to me. Gray hair and wrinkles, here I come!

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Oh singer. Just you wait until you're less than 24 hours away from turning 30 and see how well you handle it re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

I wait with breathless anticipation for my 30th birthday. I'll finally be free of all of this twentysomething angst! re: new york welcomes popcultureboy! (And my dermatologist tells me on a regular basis that I have the sort of looks that improve with age. I'm still working that one out with my therapist...)

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Poppy, I'm only a fewmonths away. Don't you know I already plan to turn 30 in London? I intend to rock it in, baby!

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

I do indeed remember that conversation, Mr. Singer. But there's a difference between your 30th being in June and it being tomorrow. Trust me on this re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

PEople keep telling me that. But it's really true, I don't have any weird stigma attached to myself getting older. In my entire family, only my mother cared and she only cared when she hit 50. She even laughed at everyone when they tried to make a big deal out of her 40th. We're just odd hicks that way, I guess.

Out of politeness, I refrain from any further comments. re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

*cough* I'll say mean things about the British if you do.
Oh, heck, who am I kidding? Sometimes I hate my southern heritage too.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Stop it, you guys, you are making me feel old.

I sing for myself. I sing when I want, whenever I want to, just for me. I sing for my own pleasure. Do you understand that?

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

BT, I'm honestly not trying to. I seriously have no hangups about age (I mean, some of my DEAREST friends right now are around 40 or more). It really means nothing to me. In fact, I certainly prefer a 10 year age difference upwards of me than below (don't GET me started on those stories...).
Poppy only has me beaten here by a few months...I'll joining him over the hill shortly.

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

You're still climbing the hill, boys. You have a long way to climb before you start heading down. I haven't reached the top yet.

good answer BWAY.... :) it's the or more that won that one!

Hi BT -- come give me a smooch!

Now back to Pop (I don't want to be considered a thread jacker)

We'll be giving pop smootches tomorrow - and wiping away his tears. From what I've heard, he's aging quite nicely re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

K - i've always got a kiss for you.

I'm just glad he's here as long as he is since I've managed to singlehandedly hijack his every late-night plan with my stupid life.
I promise to be free tomorrow night, Poppy!

re: new york welcomes popcultureboy!

Well, to quote Diane Von Furstenberg, "50 is the new 40 and 40 is the new 30."

And 24 is the new 29, right, Jailyard?
