Christopher Gorham is leaving the show.

I stopped watching this show halfway through this season. BORING.
I watched it weekly at first too. Totally lost interest in it! It's No Devil Wears Prada!

They botched this storyline completely. The only thing that could have saved it was having what's her name give birth to an African-American baby, or some other child that clearly wasn't Henry's. I think most people got sick of the runaround with Herny and Betty. I still love the show, though.
I still watch it, but not as much or enthusiastically as I did at first.
I agree, the runaround with Henry and Betty is getting a little old.
Ugg, no Henry OR Gio? Geeez, that just pissed me off.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofuI adore this show, but Ugly Betty without Henry? That's just lame.

I think they should have had Amanda fall in love with Henry. Then Amanda and Betty could have a big knock down, drag out, weave snatching cat fight. Henry's other girlfriend from Arkansas (or wherever she was from) was a lame plot device that never should have been written in.
The series needs a complete re-haul. Season 2 was SO lacking, it's not even funny...it WASN'T funny. I hope that by letting Freddy Rodriguez and Christopher Gorham move on to other shows, and by moving production to NY, they will definitely do a show make-over.
Henry was really cute at first, but I could not stand him in Season 2, he was annoying, needy, controlling, and too self-righteous for his own good. Ugh. So glad to see him go.

I felt like I was the only one who missed the point of this show.
Wait, no Gio? NO GIO?! AUGH!
I have literally no reason to tune in next season now. ;_; Where did all my 'Six Feet Under' go? I need mah Freddy Rodriguez kick... ;_;
The only thing that leaves me with any hope is that Betty's next love interest will be EVEN BETTER still! I mean, Walter was rubbish, Henry was better than Walter by being sweet, Gio was better than Henry by not being boring, so if the show continues in this way, she's going to have a simply AWESOME love interest.
Although I loves me some Freddy Rodrigue sandwiching it up. Is it definitely confirmed there's no Gio? ;_;

I tend to take the show as a fantasy, and that the reality these people live in in no way represents actual reality. That sad, say what you want about people looking beneath the surface, but Betty sure gets a lot of hot guys for someone who is supposed to be so ugly and awkward.
"Betty sure gets a lot of hot guys for someone who is supposed to be so ugly and awkward."
Well, George Costanza and Jerry Seinfeld got a lot of hot women in their time on sitcom. Bewildering there, too.

I'd have done both of them. Besides, it's always been conventional wisdom that women are less looks oriented than men. And the show wasn't built around the premise of how ugly they were.
I might have done Jerry, but not George.

What ever happened to the musical episode that Marc Shaiman was going to write?
It got postponed/canceled after the WGA strike fiasco.
And Phyllis, I was going to say the same thing. How does she manage to get all these guys? Well, Walter was pretty bad-looking, but Gio and Henry...come on. I wish she dated someone who wasn't all that cute (and I don't mean getting a hot guy and dressing him up in glasses and vests).
Not sad about Henry, but Gio? He's so hot! I was hoping they would hook up!
I agree with Phyllis. I too try to take this show as fantasy and try not to take it too searously because after all it is just a TV show. I do however find parts of it realistic.
But, I do agree with the whole conventional wisdome thing that women aren't as into looks as men are. That being said, I agree as a guy that we are more into looks then women are up to a point. That being said, I don't know how well the show plays up to that. They hire someone who girls consider hot to play Gio and yet the whole idea of the show is how ugly the main character is. I mean I can see their point of creating this whole theme of not judging a book by its cover. But, couldn't they have done it in a way that was more realistic?
And, by not having the actors that play Henry and Gio come back. They totally did a wonderful job of killing the season ending cliff hanger.

Yes - in much the way this thread did, by not having a spoiler alert in the title!

The title could have several meanings. I could be saying "I have no love for Ugly Betty".
Freddy R. is not coming back?
Why was I not informed?
When did this go down?
As Karen Walker would say, "What's going on? What's happening? What's this all about?"
They really botched up that story line, so it's probably better that he's leaving. There really is no where else to go with it. Plus, their season 2 finale was one of the worst episodes of the show so far.
