Yeah, I'm not getting the point of the anti-Semitic Arabic cartoons. Muslims/Arabs are racist, too, without retaliation from the Jews, I guess? Though if Israel retaliated every time there was an anti-Semitic cartoon, there wouldn't be a Middle East.

Also, yes- the covers of Charlie Hebdo appear racist/sexist/xenophobic. But having tasteless, shocking covers seems to be their thing, going back to mocking the death of Charles De Gaulle. And they really do take aim at so many varied groups. Seeing as how I've not seen anything of Hebdo EXCEPT their covers- not on a single website have I seen an example of one of their articles or whatever they actually put INSIDE their publication- I can only surmise here. But it looks like Hebdo uses shock value to generate revenue and attention. Which is certainly done here in the US, albeit with different topics because we have different sensibilities. Hell, "offensive" **** is freely posted on this board frequently from longtime members.

I may not be Charlie Hebdo to the letter. But I am Charlie Hebdo.

When Namo feels betrayed or doesn't get his way.... ON A F*CKING MESSAGE BOARD (not real life)..... He goes into attack mode. It further proves that he has no life beyond this website and that he desperately seeks to have his intellectual conversations in a virtual world of faceless people because no one will engage him in the real world. Where real interactions and productive conversations are happening every single f*cking day.

And just as it is my right to point out the pathetic musings of a lonely old man, such as Namo, it is also his right to respond and flame and accuse and label me. I f*cking love free speech and freedom of expression. Carry on, you loveless hag.

BWW is virtual. A blog is virtual. Yahoo! is virtual. Those are all virtual entities and platforms; they are not real or tangible. It is time to live your life in the real world and shut down the computer for a day or two each week. Find something new and productive to do within the community you exist in and benefit from, rather than spend your valuable (?) time posting useless pseudo-intellectual musings on a f*cking message board.

....AAANNNDDD stop clicking the refresh button with anticipation, eagerly awaiting my next horrid response to try and refute. It is so useless because I could not care one single bit.
