I felt the same about his acquittal for murder. The officer who discovered crucial evidence was shown to have lied under oath in the trial about his racial animus. If I were a juror, that would easily constitute reasonable doubt that the evidence was reliable.

The hearing was a joke, with much of the parole board rather starstruck and in awe of him. One of them apparently wore a Kansas City Chiefs tie. Simpson claimed he "has led a conflict free life", which even putting aside the events of 1994 is a farce.
Like you said, probably the correct decision, but man, what a circus.

I'm just thrilled he'll finally be able to resume his search for the real killers. Good luck to him with that.
