And it looks to me as though the most recent updates on Letsmove.gov were on September 30.

Roxy, I'm not playing a game with you or anybody else. I'm just interested in the truth, and I'm sorry to say your posts could do with a bit of fact checking.
But what is your point in posting these bit-by-bit items? I think the government shut down is a bad thing. All of it is bad. I also know what (and who) brought it about.

This pathology of Roxy's is remarkable. When any of us posted messages critical of things W actually did, Roxy would come back with "Oh, yes, W is Satan himself. He kidnapped the Lindbergh baby. He orchestrated the Holocaust." Now, the tea bag idiots shut down the government and Roxy blames Obama. Roxy, you need serious mental health. I hope the government doesn't ever come near your Medicare!

I thought Republicans were proud of their shut down. Wasn't Michele Bachmann crowing that it was what the people want?

that skit didnt bother me, its typical and safe.... but if they really wanted to be brave and cutting edge, they would do a skit with hilarys thunderthighs spread and playing with herself.

Oh, and "checkmate"? Not broadcasting a football game is the Republicans' winning move? Really?

Reg, tread lightly around Roxy. He might burst from all this irrational rage. He may bring up Ellis Island being closed to further prove the frustration of the party that stops immigration anyway.

You gave it the old college try, Reg, and for much longer than most people. You've attempted to interact with Roxy as if he's rational and logical. I don't know how you've done it, because there's no payoff.

You all are missing Roxy's point. You all believe the GOP is responsible for the shutdown. Roxy does not. He believes Obama and the Democrats are responsible for the shutdown.

Rep. Peter King's (R-N.Y.) seems to think the shutdown was brought about by his fellow Republicans. Here's a quote from his recent appearance on "Fox News Sunday":
"I've been against this government shutdown form the start. Now, I disagree with [Georgia Republican Tom Graves], we are the ones who did shut the government down. Charles Krauthammer called it the 'suicide caucus.' I mean, Wall Street Journal said they were 'kamikazes.' You don't take the dramatic step of shutting down the government unless you have a real strategy and has a chance of working. It's never had a chance of working; we're now almost pushing 'Obamacare' to the side and we're talking about other issues, and people are still out of work and the government is still shut down."

So now will the smart Republicans who know this to be true (which would be all the smart Republicans) say it out loud, too? Or will they clam up and let the economy be flushed because they'll stay wealthy no matter what?

I'd like nothing more than to see those smart Republicans shake off the Tea Party shackles and do "Can You Feel a Brand New Day" through the streets of D.C.

Apparently our friends the Koch Brothers are part of the cabal that brought this about and Republicans are worried the money train will derail if they don't go along.

Retirees (and others) being given 24 hours to leave their homes since their homes are on federal lands. Thank God the Congressional gym is still open

That's too wide a question, SNAFU.
Roxy, please tell us, who is responsible for the private congressional gym remaining open during the shutdown? I'll give you a hint: it's not Obama.
"The decision to keep the gym open, said one aide, came directly from Speaker of the House Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)’s office, as did the decision to close the gym set aside for Congressional staff."
Congress keeps its ‘essential’ private gyms open during shutdown

Whatever it is, this thread is turning into quite an indictment of the GOP for shutting down the government.
