Obama always try to stay above the fray as the voice of reason. Below are a few examples of his "reasonableness"

The Governor Of Arizona offered to pay the federal government for the cost of keeping the Grand Canyon open to the public. The Federal Government refused

When the sequester (Obamas idea)hit the The Dept of Homeland security , to prove it could not survive a 2% cut released thousands of many immigrant prisoners many of whom had criminal records.

Initially the federal Government tried to stop veterans from visiting WW 2 memorial. They relented under public pressure.

The sequesters 2% cut was 4% for FAA. To make it as painful as possible. The 4% magically turned into 10% cut for air traffic controllers resulting in a 40% delay for the flying public

Good thing he is so reasonable. Vindictive would be a better word. I thought only the GOP was this way.

You make Jim Colyer seem like a genius. Seriously, you make me wish Obama's death panels were a real thing.

Why did you make a statement nobody else has made about him staying "above the fray" and then spend time disproving his reasonableness?

It doesn't make sense. By the way, do you still beat your wife? There have been many recent examples of your nonsense threads.

What party or candidates do you actually support, Mr.Roxy?

How do you form these opinions?

I can't wait for Roxy's next ridiculous, fact-free thread that he'll immediately abandon. It should be up in about. 45 minutes.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. ^ Reasonable and articulate conservatives do, in fact, exist. Of late, however, they are perilously close to being classified as an endangered species.

Ironically, they actually might already qualify for that status but I assume the FWS and NOAA staff assigned to designate endangered species are currently furloughed...

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

I do think it's a bit unfair to compare him to JC,WS though.

This was the guy who this time last year predicted that if Obama were to win the election, the East Coast would become a suburb of Indonesia and the West Coast would become a suburb of Africa. Evil and insane.

That doesn't even make sense; the East Coast geographically is much closer to Africa and the West to Indonesia. Even a child should know that.

I should send this thread to Obama. And every other one Roxy started to complain about him. Now his wife will get that huge fine and then they will lose their passports or whatever photo ID they have (No idea if they have a drivers license or not if they live in NYC.) They'll get harassing phone calls at all hours of the day or night until they pay off. Then the government will come knocking on their door to take their home away. All because Roxy criticized Obama and Obama takes everything away if you do so.

I should say I probably have some of this wrong. But, who cares?

Obama thinks he's above the fray
He wants to give rights
To folks who are gay
His government hands
Want to take my Medicare away
Oh, Obama is above the fray

Of course he's reasonable. If he were UN-reasonable, he would have shut down the government.

You mean, because of the Republicans, right?

RIGHT?!

Obama Is Above The Fray?

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

The Department of Justice Web site that provides information on the AMBER alert program is off-line because of the federal government shutdown, but the program itself, which alerts communities to serious child abductions, is still up and running.

"It’s all functioning," Patti Davis, communications director for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, said in an e-mail. "Only the DOJ Web site, which is informational, is down. The states run AMBER Alerts, and NCMEC does secondary alerts. Service has not been impacted. "
