Roxy,
While I disagree with pretty much everything you've ever written on this site, I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry you perceive your life as being so awful and miserable. I can’t imagine living like that, and it must be very, very hard to be you. I wish you and Mrs. Roxy all the best, and hope you find a way to find some peace and happiness. I say this with complete sincerity (and would not use the sarcasm font, even if we had it).

As far as blaming congress, blame the democratic party as they are the ones who passed the law with out GOP input or help.
See, now that is a perfect example of a lie.
If not a lie, why are people so mad?
I'm not mad. Nearly all the people I've seen who are mad about this issue are mad about anything Obama says or does.
Meanwhile, nothing has changed with my coverage or my doctors. The health insurance industry in this country has been embarrassing long enough. I don't think this was the solution, nor did I expect it to work properly right out of the gate. I just hope it is a step forward in the welfare of all US citizens, not just those who can afford treatment for illness and injury.
I know for a FACT, my 79 year old mother has been saving a lot of money under the new health care milieu.
But that's IMPOSSIBLE! If a Republican is having a problem with Obamacare, then it has FAILED and WORKS FOR NO ONE! You and your mother must both be LIARS! LIARS!!!
As I typed earlier, my partner and I are benefitting greatly from The Affordable Care Act. I am also a New Yorker.
No, you're NOT!
I personally find it absolutely hysterical that some people actually believe that since the national transition into a completely new Healthcare system has been bumpy, we should just abandon it and resort back to our previous system (which was flawed, unfair, and more about the money than actually taking care of the USA's citizens.)
Sadly, it's not that unimaginable. As a nation, we still line up around the block the day the new iToy is released.
When you look at other countries with systems similar to what we are trying to transition to, they are doing just fine.
Not if a Republican says they're not. Then it is a LIE. No evidence is needed. End of discussion. #FoxNews

Mister Matt, I'm a little confused. I was following your post until I came across my quote, "As I typed earlier, my partner and I are benefitting greatly from The Affordable Care Act. I am also a New Yorker. and your reply, "No, you're NOT!".
I am a New Yorker and my partner and I are benefitting from The Affordable Care Act (ACA). Confused? I realize I'm being dense here, but please clarify for me.
Also, although I disagree with Mr. Roxy's assessment of ACA, he has every right to his opinion. No need to be rude in expressing an opinion that is contrary to his - or anyone else's for that matter. I wish that his wife's situation gets easier. (And, not only to just prove that he's mistaken.)

As long as she's living with Roxy, she's got more problems than just the ACA.

"Why are people blaming Obama and the Dem's when a lot of the anger should be directed at the huge insurance companies instead?"
Because conservatives don't like President Obama due to the fact that is the wrong age, color, and party. This is why he has had to deal with ****heads interrupting him during a congressional speech, or a governor who thinks she has the right to wag her finger in his face. They think it's acceptable because they think of themselves as superior to him. It's disgusting and not a secret.
Roxy, everyone deserves health care. It's not just for a privileged few anymore, and it's a positive thing for our country. There have been problems and bumps along the way, but what new program doesn't have those? The pros definitely outweigh the cons here. Health care saves lives.

I'm not surprised, but very pleased to read so many positive thoughts regarding the ACA here. Our country does deserve healthcare for all its citizens and although the ACA isn't perfect, or the system I'd prefer (I'm progressive and would have much preferred universal care), it is a vast improvement over what we had - no coverage for the less fortunate and those who weren't associated with a company/union offering benefits.
I would suggest to those like Mr. Roxy who don't like the ACA that they get behind political representation that offers real positive solutions and not just "no".
(Okay, I complained about Republican talking points earlier and here I am spouting Democratic ones. Lets just say I own my progressive slant.)

According to those who are angry, NOBODY benefits! It's a disaster that has helped NO ONE! Why fix what wasn't broken? Even if it is actually broken? If you toe the party line of the righteous, what is broken is suddenly not broken and fixing it only breaks what it currently not broken but what was actually broken and will further be broken by fixing it.
Our country does deserve healthcare for all its citizens
That attitude is precisely what is killing every citizen of Europe with Socialismcare. Just ask any of the RIGHT people. They all know this. They don't really know how they know this, but they do and they are RIGHT, so it then it is truth. Facts are LIES.
I hope that clears it up for you and I'm sorry Obamacare has caused the death of you and your loved ones. Hopefully, you didn't vote for Obama so you are now in Heaven. Unless you're gay. Amen.

My message from Mr Roxy:
"You are the one with mental issues. Just like the left - they smear you if you dare question them I believe you know what you can do . Do not bother responding as I will ignore you and now I have put you on ignore so I do not have to put up with your liberal garbage.
I wish you were forced onto a government healthcare plan and I would be laughing myself silly."
I am so confused Mr Roxy. You have told me twice before that I am blocked. Yet you keep on sending me messages in response to my posts.

Roxy's been a little crazier than usual, no? I wonder what's going on...

Well, Roxy can laugh at me because I did sign up for healthcare through the system and so far have no complaints. Yes, I am an idiot for wanting something I lost when I graduated from college and did not have a job that provided me with anything.

No one I know here in California that has signed up has any complaints. There is a core of gay friendly doctors and specialist out here that have been established as such for a while; and they all seem to be going out of their way to make sure these plans work for them and their customers. So just knowing about things in this regard ...this healthcare thing is wonderful. I am hoping it works as well for everyone else..

It is Obama's fault that I had to fix a payment issue with my pharmacy today, right? I showed them my card last time and it showed up in my online refill for the price I was supposed to pay. But, they were going to charge me for having no insurance, so I had to show them the card again. So, I think Obama made that happen, thinking I would be stupid enough to not notice and pay.

Oh, and look what someone who is against the ACA did to someone and refuses to remove her photo. I get sharing photos you run the risk of people taking them for their own use. But, this is rude.

What gets me, those awful Southern Baptists that love Jesus and the Republican Party, who incidentally belief in Leviticus where another man shouldn't lie with another man, that's another story though, there love of Jesus is so deep rooted that they are happy to deny fellow citizens basic healthcare who can't afford it.
