Aww, Buddy...I might actually watch the GOP debates if they would let him participate.

Two lobbyists are considered "serious" candidates while former Governor Roemer is not.

On another note, here's an excellent short video of economists explaining exactly in which ways Occupy has changed the national conversation and how it's just what the country needs at this moment in time.

Occupy Broadway. Will Patti LuPone be there?

Yay! Thanks for linking that. I bet they got the idea from this thread title.

I'm still hoping that Barack and Moochelle will show up.

I'm still hoping that American politics will grow out of the adolescent name-calling phase demonstrated by the labored mispronunciation and spelling of the First Lady's name.

It's just bad politics to run on name-calling.

Occupy Broadwayworld

If anybody goes to Occupy Broadway (wherever it may be,) please report back. I'd love to see Penny Arcade again, her show "Bitch! Dyke! Faghag! Whore!" is one of my all-time favorites. Also, Reno, where the hell has she been?

In other great news, did you see what Fox News pollster Frank Luntz told the Republican Governor's Association? "I'm so sacred of this anti-Wall Street effort. I'm frightened to death. They're having an impact on what the American people think of capitalism."

Yes, Frank. Yes they are. He advised them to not use the word "capitalism". But what else does Romney have?

Namo, you beat me to the Frank Luntz info. That is very interesting news indeed.

Meanwhile, the insipid pop-up ads for shows I have no desire to see make me quite happy not to occupy BWW for extended periods of time.

LA over-charged a whole bunch of occupiers, and the bail amount seems pretty outrageous for the crime of "standing on sidewalk." The blow back should be pretty interesting.

Yeah, I can't shut off the Lysistrata Jones ad on Safari for iPad. It's a bit much. I like the ad campaign but geez.

I do think the over-reaction response to occupiers shows that the powers that be care about it. A LOT.

occupy broadwayworld's taint with boiling santorum

things are still being occupied here? well, i guess virtual occupation is a lot easier to maintain than the smellier, dirtier, rapier kind that has been powerwashed out of most major cities leaving nothing behind to even remind anyone of the stench.

more power to yas!

Morph? Or Moochelle?

Like the wacky left never called names before with George W? Faux news? ETC.

The left has the most hateful people in America! PLEASE.

For heaven's sake, the OWS attacked children.

Like I said earlier, I think the "Occupy" phase of this has run its course - but those protesting have done something very important - they have changed the topic. Income inequality is suddenly being discussed.

So, call the OWS names, belittle them, do whatever you want - the attention shows that the message is working, and as Frank Luntz had demonstrated, people are paying attention.

Alan Moore Reacts to Frank Miller
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

Interesting. Occupy Richmond is trying to help its local Tea Party group - trying to make sure governmental power is not abused or that the Tea Party Group is unfairly targeted:

"The Tea Party and Occupy movements disagree on many, many issues," Occupy Richmond's Thursday statement said. "This should not stop all Americans from proudly standing together against government abuses"

No wonder Frank Luntz is scared.
