I still don't see where Armand being a prostitute comes into the show, but eh. :p I don't care. It's kind of hot (or maybe that's just because whenever I think of Armand now I think of Drew?), even if it was forced on him. Haha.
A little pick-and-choose without reason? Well, hey, at least they're consistent!
Well, it was used as character development. I mean.. is it supposed to show in the way Armand "seduces" people? Is it a part of his overall attraction, or a whole thing regarding Marius loving Armand?
This is me needing to see the show from the first few rows so I can throughly study this walk of his.
I saw it from the last row of the balcony in NY, too.
The man in the ticket booth was nice enough to bump me up to Elton's reserved row when I saw it in SF. He wasn't there that day so we got his best seats in the house.
.....Lucky.
Maybe I can talk someone in the cast into giving me their house seats as long as I pay for them (obviously). Then I wouldn't have to deal with telecharge. :p
I just felt like posting this. For no reason. XD I'm just bored.
I wish I could have seen him in Jekyll and Hyde. :) He should do it here!
I completely agree. He was probably phenomenal in the role. J&H is one of my favorite musicals.
Yeah, random picture spam. I'm bored.
Hahaha... "nice shorts" works, too. They're a bit grunge, mid-90s.. don'tcha think?
Where are you finding all these pictures Thesp?
I love the Hunchback of Notre Dame ones. They should bring that to Broadway, honestly it's the one Disney movie that I really wanted to see done on stage.
Yahoo image search, actually.
And apparently Hunchback is too dark for Broadway, even if it is Disney. I mean.. not only does Esmerelda die, but Quasimodo pretty much goes insane and kills the guy who "raised" him/killed Esmerelda. My friend said Disney wouldn't want something that dark tied to their name here in the US.
Which is unfortunate because not only would I love to see a production, but based on what I've heard? If Drew reprised the role, he'd have a Tony nomination in the bag.
Oh, is the ending different in the German version than the Disney movie version? I had no idea. Sweeeet.
But it IS a Victor Hugo story, and we all know how awesome his novels do when put on Broadway.
Remember that time we found out Drew was first u/s for Lestat and Hugh doesn't have a standby?
Apparently Hugh's been feeling under the weather recently...

Yes :p It's more OMGPSYCHO!QUASI than just "aw, poor thing *hugs TV*"
I love you Hugh...but Yay!!
"I mean.. not only does Esmerelda die, but Quasimodo pretty much goes insane and kills the guy who "raised" him/killed Esmerelda."
So, leading lady killed by man. Boy admirer of leading lady goes insane and kills man who killed leading lady. Where have I heard this before?
*cough*Sweeney Todd*cough*
Bring Hunchback to Broadway!

Yeah, my friend who runs Jim's site said they were running lines with Drew today, so it seems like they're prepping him to go on. Could be pretty soon!!
Hahaha! THANKS FOR RUINING SWEENEY FOR ME. Christ on a cracker! :p
your welcome. It's fits so perfectly though, and cracks me up.
One of you needs to go back and see Lestat soon! I'd love to hear awesome deatils of what it's like. I bet his "Sail Me Away" is incredible.
Sadly, I live in Nebraska, so seeing the show whenever I want isn't going to happen. If I lived in NYC, though, I'd be there at least once a week, I'm sure.
