I said I was going to start one and I did. Because when every Lestat thread on the main boards turns into a gush-fest over Drew... well, that's just a damn good hint, don't you think? Updated On: 4/14/06 at 04:08 PM
Drew indeed rocks. I got to see him in Barbarella, and he was incredible - a rocking badarse in the first act and an over the top mad scientist in the second (separate characters).
love him, my friend totally loves him and got me into him and he's very talented. YAY for Drew love, i'll have to show her this thread unless she wonders over here on her own accord.
You're always sorry,
You're always grateful,
You hold her, thinking:
"I'm not alone."
You're still alone.

It's kind of ridiculous (in a totally good way) just how talented he is. LizzieCurry and I were talking last night about how we need to get our hands on the JCS recording from Vienna when he was Judas. *spazz*
Caitlin, honey, you might wanna IM me sometime. :) *cough*
Aaaaanyway, just adding my little "DREW IS FANTASTIC"!
Barbarella is probably my favorite thing he's done to date, but Armand (<--- btw, Captain_Obvious) ranks pretty high. I would give my right arm to listen to Drew sing "Auserwählt" over and over and over again. :)
His solo cd is simply incredible and a real testament to just how versatile he is. Song-writing, acting, playing the guitar, and of course, singing...
Everyone be sure to check out the new Lestat blog on Broadway.com --- Drew makes his first big appearance! :)
edit: and thanks to Staticradar for pointing me this direction!

Nice new avatar, ET. That's my favorite picture of Drew.
The video blog is wooonderful. Hehe. Though poor Jim.. they keep picking on him. LOL But when Drew was talking about how he missed his part in the old finale when they were still in SF, and how he was so into just listening to everyone else sing? Sounds like something I'd do. Oops.
It's hard for me to say that she was great in the role, because the character she played was a one dimensional gold digger, so there's wasn't much about her to like (nor was there much to like about the show in general, but that is another thread). Given the confines of her material she did well with it, and is in a couple of the songs on the WAKE UP CD.
