I love that photo! Thanks for posting it.
Hmm... I haven't seen any video of them singing. YET.
There has to be video...somewhere (*crossing fingers*). Like Meryl said, too bad this wasn't like a World Series or playoff game, b/c then they would have been much more likely to broadcast it.
Do we have an idea of when Frankie Valli's new CD is coming out? I heard that the JB boys provided some vocals.
I'm listening to Beggin' right now. God I love this song....

Haha Alejandra I love Beggin' too! John sounds so much like Frankie (the real one) in that track. I especially like his dance moves during that number *heh heh* The first time I saw the show, Michael did a split! I don't remember if John did one, one of the tables on stage was kinda blocking him.
I come from a family of avid baseball fans (particularly the Yankees) and the only times I've seen the national anthem performed on television is on stuff like the World Series and what not. Regular games it's just... the game lol. I'm sure theres "coverage" somewhere out there. We just haven't found it... yet. haha.
Me too, Alejandra! And I tried checking Amazon to see if there was anything about his new CD, but I didn't see anything. I really love that photo, especially Christian for some reason. He just looks...good. Thanks for posting it on here!
NPG-I'm am LOVING the Daniel videos so far! Especially "Daydream Believer". He sounds great. Thanks so much for sharing them!
Oh, and this is my 100th post, so I decided to celebrate with some decorations....kind of a "mini-timeline", if you will, haha...just an excuse to post some pretty pictures :

I didn't know Frankie had a new CD coming out, but I'll definitely check it when it's released.
I love the Yankee Stadium photo. Christian looks so good, as Rachel said. I'd really love to see a video of them performing, though.
And thanks for the link to Christian's blog Kathryn, I had no idea he had one.

I know I'm late with posting this but I love that picture of the guys at the Yankkes game. Even though I am a Red Sox fan I would have loved to have been at the game. I would have cheered for L.A of coruse.

Does everyone remember the photo of JLY sitting in the hallway at the White House? He looks like the cat that swallowed the Canary in that pic.
That photo reminds me of a quote from one of his High School classmates back in Plattsburgh, NY. She said that John was a real go-getter in school who was very smart and very in to politics.
She said that even though everyone knew he was a theater junkie, they still assumed he'd become a diplomat or politician and that they were a bit surprised that he became an actor.
Well, I know enough political junkies to know that most NEVER get that politics bug out of their systems. It's a lot like the show business bug.
I think that in that photo, John was dreaming about returning to the White House some day as something OTHER than a visitor, if you catch my drift.
After all, another actor managed to make it that far.

Wow, I didn't know about that. Thanks for sharing that. I wonder if he's still really into politics.
Oh, and what photo are you talking about?

Sorry, I can't find the photo. But I'm sure someone around here will have it.
is this the picture, i think there are two.

Thanks Jerseyboylover. That wasn't the one I was thinking about, although it actually looks even MORE presidential than the one I was thinking about. In the one I had in mind, he was sitting on a striped settee.
He looks very Presidential :).
I think John is very political. Apparently, he watches CNN all the time, and the fact that he went to Brown definitely shows something about his intelligence.
Hi everyone!
Was JLY a poli sci major at Brown? I thought I read/heard that somewhere but not sure. For a guy born on July 4th, it seems especially appropriate that he is very engaged in politics. :)
He's amazing. Another Jersey Boy that seems naturally very articulate and genuine is Christian Hoff. Their Tonys speeches were phenomenal.
A little off topic perhaps, but Aaron Lazar is another accomplished guy whose career path seemed headed elsewhere (medicine) before he got bit by the acting bug.

Aaron Lazar has a rockin' bod.
But then he works out a lot.
As to JLY's college major, I too vaguely recall reading that he wa a poli sci major. Yet I'm also certain that I read somewhere that he was a drama major. So I'm not sure.
And what's even stranger, I'd swear that I also read an article that said that he majored in something altogether different than political science OR drama. But I can't remember what it was.
I've been reading TOO much about this man.

I LOVE Aaron Lazar such a sweet hart at the stage door. Just in case you guys didn't know Aaron went to Duke which has an amazing medical school.
Back on topic now.

Ahhh Aaron Lazar... his bod is definitely wow haha. Sorry, Aaron is another one of my favorite actors. I can't wait to see him as Enjolras in Les Miz come fall hehe.
Tennessee, I believe this is the photo you were regarding to:
Aaron is so perfectly cast in Les Miz. I love him, too. =)
Meryl, I just went to go hunt that picture down for Tennessee and then I saw that you posted. It was so fun to look through JLY's photos again! He definitely overachieved taking the pictures.
And what's even stranger, I'd swear that I also read an article that said that he majored in something altogether different than political science OR drama. But I can't remember what it was.
Me too. I just reread an article with JLY with the Brown Herald, and unless I missed it, they didn't mention what his major was either. Doing a google search, I saw "graduated with a BA in drama" but I know that I saw poli sci somewhere else.
I've been reading TOO much about this man.
We're probably all guilty of that, right ladies? :)

Hey Rachel! Your 100th post was lovely! I can never get tired of seeing the boys' pictures. And about Christian: good lord, is he gorgeous.
On TV Guide.com, one of their columnists posted their reactions to the Tony wins. And about Christian, he/she said something like, "He's talented, good-looking, in touch with his emotions" and when JLY won, the columnist (who said JLY was "awe-inspiring" as Frankie) said, "He's in touch with his emotions too. Where did they [the JB producers] find these guys?!" I just thought it was funny.
The first time I saw the show, Michael did a split! I don't remember if John did one, one of the tables on stage was kinda blocking him.
I love the choreography of JB so much. And Meryl what you said brings up a question I have. For those of you who have seen the show more than once, how would you compare subsequent visits to your first experience? Granted, things like cast members etc are different but do you enjoy the show more a second time?

While I haven't seen JB I have seen DRS twice (saw OBC and with Jonathan Pryce) and it was better the second time around. So I think for most shows it gets better the more you see it.

In a sense I knew what was going to happen. I'm one of those people who has to see things twice. For me, it's like I get to anticipate when things happen. For example, when Bob Crewe screams out "I did Frankie's chart, MERCURY IS IN TAURUS!" or something like that, I was sitting there going "Mwahaha this is when Peter freaks out on the platform!" I also like to see how the actors change things up. In this case I had no prior knowledge of how John portrayed Frankie, but the other boys was another story. I picked up small mannerisms the first time, like how Bobby Spencer does this thing with the cuffs of his shirts and stuff.
No doubt in my mind I love Michael, but I cmon... I got to see John the second time. However... there is a small bias towards Michael because he was the first "Frankie" I saw tehee.
