Hey guys!
I saw DRS a couple of weeks ao & Norbert was out for the show. I'm going back up tomorrow (Friday night) & Saturday. Does anyone know the shows Norbert will likely perform?
Missing his presence already!! *sniff* (wipes tear from eye but has wobbly smile on face)
He IS going to be missed, but he had a great send off. The show yesterday was so wonderful! I was laughing so hard I was crying.
I'm so sad I won't see NLB in the show again. I don't think he will be in it when it comes to Baltimore or Norfolk.
It was one hell of a long day --going up and back from VA, but it was worth every minute. It was even better because I got to meet some Board members AND sat in between SirLiir and Mamie. Boy, they are perfect companions for that show!
edit: damn spelling errors.

Broadway misses Norbert already! I look forward to seeing the tour even though I won't be seeing Norbert.
Just re-watched my tape of last year's Tonys and I have to say I loved both Nobert's performance and acceptance speech. By the way, how many stops of the tour is Norbert doing? 6 right? Think there's any chance he'd come back to do the 25th stop in St. Louis as it is his hometown? Oh, well- a girl can dream
I really hope he doesn't. Not to be mean but he really needs a solid 2-3 months of vocal rest.
I actually got a chance to see his brother play Mark Antony and he was fabulous. Talent must run in their family.

I envy you. I wanted to see it but couldn't. It did get a good review in the Post-Dispatch.
I'll be seeing the tour when it comes to St. Louis. I really hope Norbert takes some time off to rest though.
Norbert is GREAT BIG STUFF
Jamie, Roger, Fiyero, then Freddy- for which he won a much deserved Tony
Love him!

I was just wondering why there isn't a Norbert love thread, then this appeared!
I've gotta tell ya.
I saw Norbert in Wicked and I went, "Yeah he's got a good voice and he's charming but this role isn't really doing much for him." and left it at that, even though I knew he had potential.
But after seeing him Saturday afternoon at his second performance on the DRS tour (and my first time seeing the show), I'm a full-out fan now.
Let's not mention Fiyero please :) No one bothers to give his poor Camielle some recognition.
Camille? From TSN? Aw. I never saw that show but I have the cast recording. Norbert's "Oh Ain't that Sweet" is incredible, and I think his vocals on "Tugboat" are haunting and dreamy.
I hope Harry got to see Norbert in DRS, and vice versa in the Pajama Game.
As far as Fiyero goes--I thought Norbert was fantastic, especially given that that is such an underwritten part. Wicked got me interested in following theatre, and that's not a bad
thing. :)

Well I saw L5Y (...sort of ) if that counts for anything!
bump
I am becoming obsessed with L5Y. In particular, "If I Didn't Belive In You."
Aww, Norbert love. L5Y is genius. My current obsession from that show is the Schmuel Song. That last line kills me....
On that note, I wonder how Sherie and Norbert are feeling about DRS closing. They must be disappointed, even if it wasn't a shock.

Especailly Sherie as she is still in the Broadway production. Norbert at least gets to keep the show alive on tour.

I haven't posted on this thread in ages.
Just dropping in to share the Norb love.
Welcome, welcome! I can't figure out how the Norbert Love Thread keeps falling so many pages behind. Maybe we are trying to hard to stay on topic.

Its possible! I've noticed the Jbara thread sort of vacillates on the topic and manages to stay on the first page.
I always see that and think "what ever happened to the NLB thread?"
What about those of us who saw Norbert as Mark, Roger, Gordon and Steve in "Rent" as well as the Emcee in "Cabaret"? Do we get some sort of "Jesus Christ, I am old!" award?
greeneyed_one: I hope Sherie gets another great project soon, at least.
On a somewhat tangential note, I saw a high school production of AIDA tonight. It's fun to see kids perform these shows--there's a different kind of energy and excitement.
There was a lovely sense of community on the Norbert thread last year, but unfortunately, you're right, his thread has been slipping.
I want Sherie to win a Tony so badly. I really hope that her next project will bring her home a little golden trophy.
Alejandra925- AIDA seems like an impressive show for a highschool to pull off. Was some of the music changed/lowered/etc (espcially for songs like Dance of the Robe) or were the performs just phenominal?
I really love AIDA. I wonder what Norbert would sound like as Radames......
[edit] BTW your avatar is simply adorable.
