Wendy-I don't know when it'll be online but it's airing on CUNY this Sunday at 5pm.
I don't know anything new and I have not seen DRS since last week so I'm in withdrawal, still listening to the OBCR constantly though (well along with the Last 5 Years)
I hope "Great Big Stuff" will be done at the Tony's but do you think they might try something that highlights John and Sherie too? I was thinking they could rewrite "Dirty Rotten Number" or do a huge medley? Somehow I don't see CBS allowing "All About Ruprecht" on the air.
City U of NY-How can those outside the city see this?

I think they'll do Dirty Rotten Number--but if Lithgow is not nominated, maybe they'll do Great Big Stuff--think "Hummers in my Hummer" will fly with the censors, though?
I think a medley would be great--Sherie can sing "Here I am".
I'm afraid "hummers in my hummer" will become something like "blueberies in my pancakes"
I love the idea of a medley, "Give em what they want" bam, "what was a woman to do", "Like Zis/ Like Zat", "Great big Stuff", "Here I am" and "Dirty Rotten Number"
I know they would never do all that, but I'd love to see it, so everyone can get a chance. I'm still hoping the big 5 will all get noms.
Of anyone who might be a surprise nom, I hope it's Greg Jbara--he does a great job and I'd love to see that happen. He seems like a great guy , too . (Love that line he says, "They also make cheese.." during his scene with Joanna.)
Norbs and Sherie will be nominated, probably John, not sure about Joanna. We'll see soon enough..
I really, really want Greg and Joanna to pick up nominations, I can't see either of them winning, but the noms I would love. Actually I would love to see them win as well, but I can't imagine it.
John I want to see up there instead of a second or "God Forbid" a third Spamalot guy.
Sherie and Norbert need to be absolute locks.
wendy, unfortunately I have no plans to go to NYC in the near future.
So I live vicariously through all these reports! I love reading them.

Is Norbie gonna win??? I really hope so!!! I know he'll be nominated....for sure.
He was nominated for Thou Shalt Not(feature) so a win this time would be nice. I think he deserves it...but that's my obession for him talking. I hope to be in NYC this time next week!!! Gonna see Scoundrels...not sure about Spamalot though. I just wana see what the fess is about. LOL
Hope to see some of you trying to win the lottery with me!
Pinky-I hope you have a day as beautiful as today--good luck with the lottery. If you win, (or when, I should say..)will you be seeing DRS after the noms are announced? I was thinking I'd love to get tickets the Tuesday after the Tonys--just to give Norbs a standing "O" after his win!
That sounds so great Wendy, I might do the same thing!
I'd so love to be there and just really let have Norb have the adoration.
(I know they ARE locks, I just have so little faith in people getting things right I worry even about that )
I have a friend who did not like "DRS"--thought it was very middlebrow entertainment. He cannot understand why I saw it twice, buch less seeing it a 3rd time (hopefully).
But after paying 26.50 and sitting in the front row, that will be hard to beat (Much less paying full price, which I've never done for DRS..)
I have paid almost full price and it is interesting just to sit in a different spot and get perspective. I think its funny I usually don't like "low brow" humor, but it is delivered in DRS so spectacularly I eat it up! Also there is a lot of depth behind many of the references. Mainly though I just see at as a classic example of Book, Score, Direction, Sets, and especially ACTING coming together to create a marvelous experience. It is not my favorite in any one category (except Acting, all of them blow me away, especially with that timing) but the whole is fabulous!
I really think some critics-especially Brantley--have been unnecessarily harsh on this show. He said, compared to The Producers, this show (rather than standing tall) never gets out of a queasy slouch. Queasy? He could have just said slouch...
I really think that DRS is better than the Producers, not to mention ten thousand times better than Spamalot. Critics anoy me sometimes, and I am a very critical person who does not get behind shows or films very easily. Norbert and the cast really won me over in this one though.
RE: critics
Sometimes critics don't feel as though they're doing their jobs unless they complain about something.
Then again, among movie/theatre goers, sometimes it can be "fashionable" to like/hate something--especially if it becomes very popular.

Hey you guys--
I was just on Broadway.com again looking through the recent photo ops, including the opening night for CCBB (Raul looked hot lol).
Broadway.com also has pictures from the DD Nom reception. There is a pic of Norbert & Sherie, Sherie with Billy Crystal, Norbert with James Urbaniak, Gregory & Rachel York (Gregory always takes great pics! cute...), David Yasbek, etc, plus Sutton & Christian, Matt Morrison and other faves.
Broadway.com also has pics from the Outer Critics Nom luncheon. One of Norbert (who has a funny but adorable expression on his face) with Sherie and Joanna; Sherie with Jenn Gambatese, Matt Morrison with Sutton, Norbert with Billy Crystal, etc.
Check 'em out if you haven't already! Good stuff.

what's Norbie doing on page two?
thanks for the pics....he's soooo cute!!! what's everyone's fav song on the DRS CD?
I have gotta go with "Great Big Stuff" but "Dirty Rotten Number" and "Ruprecht" (I still see the visuals) are very close.
I really love the rest, except "Oklahoma?", as well.
I totally agree SP! But, does intro to Chimp in a Suit remind anyone of the music you'd hear the Sims? I really like Chimp....it's so funny! I was jammin out to it downtown after my last final today!
Fav Line: "Dampen him well in a quart of Chanel it won't cover the smell, I should know I am French!"
I just adore Greg's delivery. It does sound a tad "simmish" though.
Is Teri Hatcher on "Letterman" tonight? If she is, think she'll stop by and see her old co-star's show and do a photo-op? That would be great publicity for the show..
OK, she's not on tonight..also, when is Kristen Johnston going to see her old pal John L. at DRS? I saw both she and Steve Martin were at the opening of "GGR".
Teri Hatcher was on David Letterman about a week and a half ago...I think. She's so cute. She was also in NY for the Tribeca Film Festival last month. It's a good bet she saw DRS then. I hope she did, anyway. :)
Kristin Chenoweth has probably already seen the show as well(you'd think there might be a photo floating around if that's the case, though).
