WELL I dunno about TV for Norb- except a Miniseries of some kind. Almost all TV series are shot in LA now and I do not want to think of the complications of bicostal life. ( Peter Gallagher- an East Coast performer if ever there was one, rented the 1st yr of the O.C. But now that the show is cont he & his family sold the N. Y. brownstone and moved perm to the West coast) FILM!! its where the $$$ is but good writing pleese!!
That is true although a Norbert guest role on something like Arrested Development would be great, he could just ride out and back with Jeffery Tambor.
I'd much rather see Norbert in a well written movie to get the cash. But I think he could really carry a tv show. Maybe get another one to shoot on location in New York?
Wow-great photos of the cast from DRS at Sardi's---Love the look on Norb's face when he sees his caricature..
I love them! I really want that picture with Joel, Norbert, and the charicature!
Awwww! Those pictures are *fabulous* (and Norbert looks hot). My favorite pics are Norbert and Sherie with Daisy Prince, yay, L5Y! And Norbert with Joel Grey is so cute!

Yup--seeing this made my day---I need to spend less time on this board, it's becomming an obsession.
I was sort of sad today after reading Reidel's column and having him report what some Tony nominators are saying "allegedly" about Yazbeck's lyrics being "gross." Lighten up, Francis!
Norbs and Joel were in "Wicked" together...I was thinking Joel was there because they share the "Emcee" connection. I'm tired..
I totally thought it was the "emcee" connection as well. And I saw Wicked with them both in it!
Ditto--and was glad I did..Joel had that terrible "Wonderful" song...but repeated listenings on the OBC album have mellowed my opinion. Plus, I think he played the part very well, apparently as well or better than anyone since.
The Wizard's songs are my least favorite songs in Wicked. I guess that's true for a lot of people LOL.
Broadway.com now has pics from the caricatures' unveiling. :) I liked Broadwayworld's better, but it's great to see alternates!

I always kind of liked "Wonderful" not as a song so much, but the sentiment "They call me wonderful, so I am wonderful" I thought it was one of the few parts of the show that showed the darkness. The "Sentimental Man" stuff I despise.
I loved the dance Joel and Idina did though. George Hearn really showed what a terrible role it can be, and I usually love him.
Woo Hoo more pictures!
Just so you Butz people know, I have listened to Love is My Legs about 147 times this week. I am not hyperbolizing, either.
Bythesword will vouch for me.
LittleFish, that is so great! I *love* Love is My Legs! It's funny as hell.
The song I've listened to most this week is Edge of the Ocean by Ivy, for some reason. In terms of Broadway tunes...probably Nothing is Too Wonderful to Be True.

I saw the DRS again (I know I'm obsessed) It was fantastic as usual. Sherie was sick and had a coughing spell during Son of Great Big Stuff, but was fantastic. I think Norbert and John actually recogized me in the audience today, they both kind of had a double take during curtain call, "that guy is here AGAIN" looks. Nobert was really, really on. Got a very large amount of entrance applause. I tried to clap for Greg, but no one followed.
The lotto guy says they are still thinking of stopping if it does not pick up after the tony noms, so plese GO!
I think I'm going to go back and suggest they move the time 15 minutes later to catch the people who lost at Q, Wicked or RENT, it seems to be working for Bee (which is 30 minutes after)
Hey smart penguin: So funny that Norbert and John recognized you! I think that's cool, actually.
Any funny adlibs?
I'm sorry to hear that Sherie's not feeling well, though! I hope she gets some rest b/c I think she has another singing engagement on Monday night.
Alejandra
Oh no, she was definitely getting worse as the show went on. Norbert and Sherie did this whole little rift after nothing is too "Wonderful to Be True" that was basically just background noise but I could hear some of it, she was saying something about lifting his spriits and he looked at her breasts and said "lifting always make me happy." There were some other lines in there too. During "Ruprecht" Norbert kept doing his shifty eyes at John for soo long it was wild, he almost cracked. Then at the end of the first act, John waited forever, just wandered out on stage, kept waiting, looking back at Norbert and Sherie, then finally had the last note happen, it was hillarious.
I love that John and Norb seem to recognize me, its so cool, a little funny but very cool!
Penguin--Did you do the lottery? Is that how they recognized your--because you were so close? And was the theatre full. Cool about the large entrance applause for Norbs--his face is really getting out there these days (Sardi's, Drama Desk reception.)
I posted last week Sherie and Norbs did the same type of riffing after Nothing is Too Wonderful--here is what I posted:
6. It's evident how comfortable Norbs and Sheri are with each other, and Sherie even made a little comment to Norbs while he was in his "Buzz" character which they both laughed about at the end of "Nothing is too wonderful", which did not seem to be part of the script. She said something along the lines of "like a bird falling from the sky."
Must keep things fun for them..
Yes I did the lottery again, its the 4th time I have been on the front row, and I am a little distinctive looking. The lottery guy really knows me. I think John remembered that I said at the stage door that I had seen the show a bunch of times.
I love Sherie and Norbert's riffing it is GREAT!

Can I just say, I love the lottery guy.... Beautiful.
This is my absolute favorite new musical of the season! I can say that, now that I've seen them all!
Yay Chrys! I'm so glad to hear that DRS is your fave musical this season!
But how 'bout Norb for best actor? Still not budging?
Broadway Legend Joined: 2/14/04
Not budging! As much as I love DRS, I would love to see this one go to Raul.
**sobs**
But as I have not seen CCBB I can only trust that Raul is deserving. As long as it's one of the two of them I will be a happy girl on Tony night!
But I will be pushing for my/our Norbie, of course! :)
I have to agree with hedwig on this one, LOL. Even though I love Raul too, of course....
And I want Matt Morrison to win featured.
Alejandra
Norbert won best actor, one of many I hope!
That was the only DRS win though which makes me sad, far too much Spamalot.
