Here's the article with BSM. He touches on why he didn't do DRS on Broadway. :)
My DRS cd finally came in. Thank you, Amazon! It only took *forever...*
smart penguin, I really hope you get to see DRS again b/f you leave for NC. :)

Broadway.com now has photos up from the Drama League Awards. They're great. :) Be sure to check them out (I would link but I'm having posting issues!)
Alejandra, giddy at the idea of Idina presenting Norbert with a Tony...oh, in a perfect world... LOL

Alejandra-Thanks for the article! So, if the only reason he left the show was to raise his son then he could possibly replace John. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Hedwig-Sorry. You gotta get the official one! I'm done with classes this week. Two more finals then I'm done!
Alejandra: 5 posts, huh? Well, that's a good way to get us to page 52. LOL!
Broadway Betty: Yes, I am hoping to buy the official OBCR later this week. Only two more finals? Yay! I actually just took a final for my on-line course. Whew! Just one more to go for me. Can't wait for it to be over.
Hedwig-When I'm done, I'm going to do the Ruprecht dance! I can't wait till it's over! The DRS obcr is the perfect present to yourself for making it through another semester.
If smartpenguin won the lotto, he'ssitting in his seat hearing the orchestra warming up, flipping through the playbill making sure there's no little white paper, and looking up at the waves on that screen. Darnit! I wish I were there right now!
I think SP DID win---otherwise we would have heard from him by now!
Well thats a nice thought Wendy but not entirely true. I lost DRS, with about 40 people there and then did Bee and won it with over 100 there. I did think about DRS and warming up the orchestra at just about 8.
I liked Bee better the second time, the score was much better having known the songs, but the jokes were not as funny.
Oh well, I must see DRS before I go, TWO chances tomorrow!
Sorry to hear that--Good luck tomorrow--makes you (and me) realize how fortunate we were to win the times we did!
Yes, I was on such a great streak for awhile, but all great things must end. I just really hope for one more burst of luck before I go. If I don't win by Friday, I may even buy a full priced ticket!
*gasp* Full price? Are you mad? :) But you would be following John's orders. He is a cloths horse, ya know.
A bit of a clothes horse, I think my 6 trips are keeping him in the goods at least at Target prices.
I would do it, I did for my first show and I MUST see the show again before I go into the wilderness for soo long!
SP-I know what you mean about considering a full price ticket--I we hadn't won the lottery, I was willing to do that, too. Esp. because they were giving away the CD.
So it sounds like either way we'll be getting a report...I'll be away a few days, so can't wait to hear the news when I return.
Does anyone know anything about the "Dirty Rotten" brochure or program? Read about that on another thread...think it's like the Avenue Q special program with a CD?
What thread is that on Wendy? If they have a program I'll be buying it! (yes I know I'm pathetic)
There is a thread on Talkin' Broadway...
So not only did I not get in, I missed Sondheim and Lapine!
Man now I'm even more upset!
They only gave away nineteen front row seats do you think Mr. S sat on the front row?
Now you can say, "The gave Sondheim my seats" or something like that..
also, there is a post on Talkin' Broadway (under Tony Thought)that wonders if Idina will be presenting the Tony to Norbs...yawn, didn't we discuss that DAYS ago? We are so cutting edge..
I never check them out unless someone here points to something I want to read over there. I don't like the way the board is set up, and they really do always seem to be "behind the times"
hmmm, I gave up my seat for Sondheim, I like the sound of that. He better not take it again tonight though!
And..I find some of the folks on TB/ATC have a tendency to jump all over you if they don't agree with your opinion. Not like here, where it's all about LOVE, esp. of Norbs..
Hehe, we're cutting edge.
Guys, I just realized that the Drama Desk awards are this Sunday. Wow, we're getting close to the BIG night. The Tonys, that is. And I think that Sherie is performing. Cool!
SP-I can't picture Sondheim going to DRS. Can you imagine how Norbert felt about Sondheim watching him grab the bellboy's ass? OMG! If he went backstage and shook Norbert's hand, you think he thought "Man, I hope that's not the hand he put down his pants."
Let us know if they have the souvenir program at the theatre and how much they are. Hope you get in!
I lost AGAIN!
It was so crowded I was amazed at least 60 or 70 people!
More than Q! People were halfway out into the steet, it is great I think people have FINALLY reallized DRS is the show to see!
No programs are out yet, I'll let you know tomorrow!
So, I was on the hunt for pictures from the cast of Survivor: Palau (yeah, I admit it, that show is one of my guilty pleasure obsessions, along with The Amazing Race!) and I couldn't help searching to see if there were new Norbert pics.
And yes, there are! :) Film Magic has now included new pics from the Drama League Awards. Cute, cute, cute ones of the DRS gang: Norbert, Sherie and John. :) I love them. I think my favorite is the one where we see Norb accepting his award and you can see John smiling in the background.
Also, evidently the Tony nominees gathered today for a group picture. I've only seen a thumbnail so far (thanks to Wireimage) but as much as I love Norb and Sherie et. al, I didn't want to squint.
Watched Kevin Hill tonight. Idina guest starred again. And Patrick Breen, who plays Sarah's nanny, saw DRS back when it was in previews. I know, it's geeky, but I like all these theatre/friend connections to Norbert....
