I'll at least be having the Tony tape sent to me, but I'll be trying REALLY hard to find a TV.
Its 7 times now, wow that seems like so many, I don't even usually watch movies multiple times. I could go see DRS again right now though.
It has been fun, HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!

I am VERY excited. Some friends are down in N.Y. this wkend(Victoria Day Hol in Canada) and are specifically seeing this show on my recommendation. They are both performers so I am very anxious to get their opinions. Can't see anyway they won't become missionaries on spreading the word of the glorys of Norb!

Hey Alejandra-

I gave up on the webcast because the excessive "buffering" was driving me nuts. Not looking good for DRS from what I'm gathering on the Main Board. I'm really looking forward to purchasing the OBCR's of Piazza and Spelling Bee though.

hedwig: I was watching...painfully so, but yeah.

My comp froze just as Norbert was introducing Sherie...what did he say about her/them?

I also missed his acceptance speech. I heard that he thanked Michelle and his daughters, but forgot about his co-stars, LOL. Anyway, YAY, Norbert!

Luckily I like Piazza or it would have seemed like a waste of three hours.

Just dropping back in to say "Congrats!" to our Norbs. I was so nervous for him, isn't that silly!? I wish I had been able to see his speech, as well as Sherie and Victoria's performances. Hopefully I will be able to catch the PBS airing of the show on Wednesday.

WOO-HOO! Yay for Norbert! *throws confetti* We'll have a parade after the Tonys, okay!

But WTF? Nothing else for DRS??? Nothing for Yazbek? This is soooooo wrong! Like I said before, Hugh's win was the only win for TBfO and it was an awful show. DRS is leaps and bounds better than TBfO but it only gets Norbert's award? Let's hope the Tony voters get some sense in them.

Less than 2 weeks away!

I love what Sherie had to say about Norbs in that Q&A. They are really like brother and sister.

I'm here--was away, but got caught up on all the good happenings (the Astaire award, the DD) for Norbs last evening. Love all the pics and the recognition for him. Taping the DDs on Sunday...the Tony looks "in the bag".

Does anyone else get a little bummed Norbs has a sweetie? I'm mean, can't he be a single guy for awhile..?? I like that image of him. .

Anyway, great interview with Sherie...wonder what she means by "disgusting"?

hey wendy: yay, you're still here, too!

Norbert looks cute in the new pics. He looks happy. I could be wrong, but it looks like he's wearing the same tie that he wore at the Drama League awards, too, LOL.

Re: Sherie's "disgusting" comment

When I first read it, I was like, huh? My guess: it's another example of humor that doesn't fully translate (which is what smart penguin said about their NY1 interview too). Something I love about Norbert and Sherie is that seem to have the same sense of humor. They are capable of being astute and carefully articulate about their work--but they also have a wicked offbeat concept of humor. I think her "disgusting pig" comment is specifically in response to Norbert's agreeing that they have a sibling relationship--the only difference is, he considers it "incestuous," leading her to call him "disgusting."
Plus, apparently she teases him on his grooming habits all the time.

In the NY1 interview, he said: "Last night [Sherie] informed me onstage that I could use a little nose hair trimming--that's how close we are."

Another similar comment-exchange: In the Playbill Radio interview they did promoting L5Y, Sherie explains that she always looked forward to The Next 10 Minutes because there was another person to react to and be with onstage. Norbert interjects something along the lines of, "Here you are, making it sound all artistic, and I'm like, 'Yeah, we get to kiss!'"

They are so fun together. *sigh*

wendy: Thanks for that link! That is the FUNNIEST video Broadway.com has done.

I absolutely adore the DRS cast. Talk about wicked senses of humor--they all have that sensibility, it's fabulous! Joanna is a goddess and Gregory is phenomenal. I love how Web savvy he seems to be...and he mentioned the Web cam.

The Radio Playbill interview with Norbert and Sherie, promoting L5Y is still online. I'll see if I can find the link. A cute one with Idina (Dec. 2003) is also up. Idina, while talking about how Taye is taking over for Norbert temporarily, says that Norbert is "amazing" and that he's her "favorite...onstage." LOL!

Joanna's comic timing is so evident when she says "keep up with me if you can." She does wonders with that role, and I've always said she and Greg are terrific together.

See, if you guys don't tell me about something I'll never find it. Now I have to wait an hour or two for that video to load. Can't wait to see it.

I was running out of tapes so I bought a big 10 pack for all the awards and stuff. Very excited about watching the DD tonight!

Wendy-I wouldn't mind him being single for a while. Actually, I like the idea ALOT!

That video was taking FOREVER to load. I got as far as 38% and gave up. From what I saw, it looks so great. Norbert picking his nose, lovely.

3 1/2 hours away! YIPEEEEEEEEE!!!
