Hate group is protesting JC Penney using Ellen DeGeneres as a spokesperson. Before you click on the link, you get three guesses why.
Morons
They have a lot of comments on their Facebook page about this and surprisingly they are overwhelmingly negative. I say surprisingly because One Million Moms routinely scrubs any comments that disagree with them from their page. I got banned from commenting there a long time ago.
I think One Million Moms miscalculated how mainstream Ellen is.
and apparently they've missed her Cover Girl cosmetics ads for the past four years.
I visited their Facebook page…. I am absolutely speechless!
I am giggling my ass off!
I only read the first 20 or so comments under the post on their FB page but every single one was pro-Ellen.
Kudos to JC Penney to not giving in to pressure from the fringe. I don't often shop there, but I may begin to.

Even Bill O'Reilly defends Ellen!

Since I berate the folks on Fox 'News' when they take outlandish positions, O'Reilly deserves credit for being on the right side of this issue, even if it's a contrived issue. So, well done, Mr. O'Reilly.
That hurt.

Yeah, I guess none of these women use Cover Girl cosmetics either.

Their Facebook page seems to have vanished.
Wow, did one Million Moms remove their facebbok page?
After Ellen talked about their facebook page on her show yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
So they are f*cking cowards who can't stand up for their hate, huh?
One Million Moms usually scrubs EVERY negative comment from their Facebook page. When they posted a call for a JC Penny boycott virtually every comment below was negative. With Ellen speaking out publicly against them they probably just took the whole page down to avoid the backlash.
The call to boycott Ellen is still up on their webpage though.
Yes, I went to their webpage and I sent in an iquiry. I asked them seriously how they justify thier hate? If it was something that Jesus taught? Will be interesting if I get a response. Somehow I doubt I will.

Okay I guess I've been under a rock because I've missed this thread (and this story in general) until now.
I wonder who it was at OMM who first came up with this lame idea. One of the craziest things I've heard of lately. What the hell kind of people are against *Ellen*?? She's one of the nicest, kindest, sweetest, most generous (I could go on) people ever. Oh but I guess being married to another woman just throws all that out the window. If she were a total a-hole but married to a man, would OMM be fine with her being JC Penny's spokesperson?
What a bunch of nuts. Jesus would be rolling over in his grave if he was still in it.
I'm going to have to look up where the nearest JC Penny store is to me these days and do some shopping there soon.

Their Facebook page is back up. My guess is that Facebook shut it down yesterday. A lot of people were commenting that they were reporting the page for hate speech.
Today they have this message up.
"The Majority of our supporters are not on Facebook so if we make changes to our page or if Facebook decides to do away with our page then remember you can always keep up with our campaigns on our website with hundreds of thousands of moms that stand with you and have the same beliefs as you. Our website is ours and no one can shut down our OMM website. We will continue to be salt and light. A BIG thank you to all our members for their encouragement and support! :)"
I think it's the beginning of the end for One Million Moms.
If she were a total a-hole but married to a man, would OMM be fine with her being JC Penny's spokesperson?
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume they are totally okay with the Bachmanns.
We will continue to be salt and light.
One Million Moms on sale for $19.99
I would encourage everyone to report their Facebook site for its hate speech via the "report" button in the lower right-hand corner (assuming, of course, you agree that's what it is).
Their Facebook page is down again. There does seem to memore and more anti One Million Mom pages popping up all over the place. Maybe Handel can find a position with this group now!

Their page goes up and down more often than Maggie Gallagher when she was at Yale in '78.
One Million Moms is gloating and feeling pretty high and mighty for getting ONE sponsor to ditch the TV show GCB. Damn, that is A LOT of work for just one sponsor! They have been failing miserably with all there lame ass boycotts. They really need to feel like they are doing something worth while so its come down to them patting themselves on the back for the tiniest things.
