I can't help but think of a new series I saw on one of the Cable News stations where they went "BEhind the scenes" at one of the super-maximum security prisons. They showed prisoners who were self-mutilating, prisoners who were transported with a hood over their heads because they would fill their mouths with feces and pit them at guards, Prisoners who would hoard their bologna sandwiches till they spoiled, then stuff themselves with the rotted food so they could get a few days in the infirmary instead of their cement block bare-walled cells. Some beat their heads against the walls out of stress. I believe many of them had rashes also. They must not have shown the part where the "Really upset" prisoners got sent home.

I'm sure none of those prisoners are from powerful families who could successfully sue the county for millions of dollars.

I really never thought she should go to jail. These types of crimes should be served with community service. This turn-around slap on the wrist is so far out there for me though.... It's is far out as letting George Bush steal a second election.

When I have insomnia, and getting off easy isn't an option, I fret so over her lack of a high school diploma.

I know you're being sarcastic, but I think it's really sad her parents paid to send her to some of the best schools possible up until the age of 16, then she just wasted 10 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars in tuition by dropping out like some white trash stoner that could never aspire to anything more than gas station employment. What a waste of a human being.

Hah, I'm totally using "famewhore" as an insult now.

To quote Cabaret;
"I don't care much go or stay" on the case of Paris Hilton.

Unless she dies, she's never going away.

Not true. Case in point: Anna Nicole.

Honey, I was going to update my message. Just so ya know. re: Paris Hilton Released from Prison

The buzz around Anna Nicole at least has dimmed a bit. Why? Because there's always something to replace it with - i.e. Lindsey Lohan's latest charge or partying problem and now with Paris Hilton.

Of course, Paris' infamy will succeed her even after she dies.

I'm literally refusing to watch any network news or morning news programs because I don't need to see this as the "headline" story. No thanks.

She's like a cockroach, you think you're rid of them, but they keep coming back.

There is a war on... a possible one with Iran. Iraqi Oil is being stolen and a anti-gay surgeon general has just been appointed.

To me

Remark was a little racist but what the hell right. OJ was not white unless I missed something.

If Iraqi oil is being stolen, where is it?

To everyone else

Now I know why I have absolutely no faith in the criminal justice system

"TMZ has learned that a judge has ordered Paris Hilton back to his Los Angeles courtroom, telling her she must attend tomorrow morning's hearing. She could be sent BACK to the slammer!!

Late today, L.A. City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo filed paperwork demanding a hearing before Judge Michael Sauer to determine why the Sheriff's Department allowed Paris to get out of jail when the judge had expressly ordered her to serve out her entire sentence.

The hearing is scheduled for 9:00 AM PDT on Friday.

TMZ contacted the Sheriff's Department, but they refused to comment on the case."

On one of the talk radio stations, someone mentioned the possibility that this whole thing is just a sham, that we'll see it on network TV as a "reality show" like The Simple Life this fall. I for one would not be surprised.

Not that this has anything to do with the thread...but Roxy asked the question: "If Iraqi oil is being stolen, where is it?"

This link may help with the answer.

Where's the Oil

SeanMartin, if this is all a sham I'm going to be so annoyed...and laugh my butt of at CNN and Fox News for all the attention they gave it. With everything going on in the world today, how are the devoting so much time to this story?!

Poor, poooooooor Paris. I think you all are totally NOT HOT for saying bad things about her. After a life of trying to make the world a thing of beauty, you all should be thanking her rather than demanding she be sent back to jail. What kind of beautiful items can she create for we, the grateful American people, if she's stuck in a dingy, dirty grey jail cell.

Poo on all of you.

This whole released from jail because she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown is complete BS. She probably faked it to get out of jail. She probably said to the psychiatrists that were there something like "OMG, this place is like so horrible, and is not hot and I think I'm going to go like nuts and junk, so can I please go home. If I can like go home and like relax and like stuff so that I like can like be all like calm and some junk it'll be totally hot and stuff."

I really hope that they put her back in jail and put up some stipulations where she can't be pulled out until the sentence is over.
