Posted: 8/8/06 at 4:09pmAccording to my friends, the weather is good. In the 70s/low 80s during the day and mid-60s at night. Chance of a thunderstorm Thursday, but otherwise clear and no rain expected.

It's currently perfect weather (for me at least). It's pretty cool (mid to low 70's). No AC needed

Posted: 8/8/06 at 7:42pmI bought my ticket the other day and got a fairly decent seat, but I was looking for a single ticket.

Posted: 8/8/06 at 7:59pmEh, the lawn isnt that bad. For the Sunday in the Park with George concert, I stood at the perimeter of the pavilion with binoculars..

This sounds like it might end up being one of the heaviest bootlegged performances of all time
#34re: Patti/Gypsy/Ravinia
Posted: 8/9/06 at 2:41amWell, considering that the lawn is massive, I bet there will be many sound recordings of it.

Posted: 8/9/06 at 9:39amSorryGrateful and I lucked out and scored some free lawn tickets for Friday night. I couldn't be more excited!! Anyone interested in maybe having a BWW section that night?

Posted: 8/9/06 at 10:31pmDame, the good pavillion seats are gone, but there should be lawn seats for all. It is a huge park. Ravinia is a Chicago area treasure!

Okay...we all know Patti's "Rose's Turn" and "Everything's Coming Up Roses" will re-define the material, but I'm betting that her "You'll Never Get Away from Me" and "Mr. Goldstone" will be the funniest we've ever seen.
Girlfriend is not just a powerhouse singer but, like Merman, she's a natural-born clown.

Posted: 8/10/06 at 3:52pmI won't actually be "seeing" anything as we're on the lawn, but I'm sure it'll be great in any case!

I flew in yesterday and can't remember ever having to show my ticket and boardingpass to so many different people.
I've got very good seats for tomorrow in the Pavillion and can't wait.

Oh my god, chinkie, I swear to god, I would black out if he did. But now I know where I'll be after the interview.
Hi, Margo! Welcome to Chicago!
