I don't like the 2 women judging the contestants either for the record...

Has Kara DioGuardi ever written a song that doesn't sound like something you'd read off a poster with cute kittens on it?
Hang in there, baby!
Matt, you forgot to say spoiler alert! (that's going to be the title of the winner's song this year)
Kara and Ellen suck.
Paula was a mess, but she was better than both of them together. Yet, I feel that they should've hired a good female comedian.
I love Patti!
And I think some of the judges she is alluding to are also the guest judges for the auditions.
This year it's the batch of contestants. I've never seen such a charisma-free group. It's startling to think that's the "best" 24. But I guess we've said that before. It's the nature of the show that bland losers move up as the season progresses. I just wonder if the judges will stop dissing Broadway/show music, since it's the single biggest employer of Idol winners and losers. Sort of silly, the way they trash anyone who sounds "too Broadway." (Randy was the primo offender, but everyone has said it at one time or another.)
Ellen's lackluster presence has made me appreciate Kara more.
Calvin, there's "Bombastic Love" and "STRUT."
Before you bash someone, do your research.
Kara's discography
After looking at that link I am proud to say that I only know ONE of those songs, and I consider it to be one of the most mediocre songs that group has ever released on record.

Wow, I can't believe that the same person who wrote the amazing "Taking Chances" had anything to do with the butchery that was "Rich Girl"!!!!
And the best singers who audition for Idol generally don't get past the producers round (before they see the main judges)- I don't have personal experience, but I do have more than a few friends who are leagues better than many Idol finalists who didn't get to the televised round. The top 24 are the best of the people who fell through the cracks.
Kara's resume is impresive, but I just don't care for her as a judge. I hate when she tells contestants "I like you"!
I'd seen the list and do not retract my statement.
For every "Sober" there are about 10 Disney channel b sides.
