By the way, in case you're wondering about the initial confusion on many websites ... there was an Internet hoax about his death earlier this week, which his reps responded to as late as yesterday, denying his death.

But that was yesterday. Then this happened today.

He was also in John Dahl's underrated Joy Ride and, this movie happened when he did not appear in the Fast series for the first time, Running Scared that I thought was really good.

I've always been fascinated with the Fast franchise's staying power. After the sequel, it should have been the end of it. But it just kept on going and, surprisingly enough, just kept getting better.

i LOVE Joy Ride! a very underrated movie... i've been meaning to rewatch it on DVD but kept putting it off... I may have to now...

Sad news but unfortunately this happens all too often in the Los Angeles area. Most of the time it is not the lead story on the evening news. I am Los Angeles native and you see it every day -- people driving expensive, fast sports cars at excessive speeds through residential neighborhoods. The drivers of these cars think the laws that apply to other people don't apply to them.

Well given he was a passenger in the car, it should come down to realizing the driver has a life in their hands and should think of both their livelihoods.

Loved this guy in VARSITY BLUES, PLEASANTVILLE and THE FAST & FURIOUS franchise. Tragic loss. He actually started out as a child actor/model. Here's a screen cap of Paul when he guest starred on an episode of HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN. May he R.I.P.

The driver of that wreck was Roger Rodas who owned a car customization (that he co-owned with Walker) and recycling businesses who raced, did a lot of charity work, and reportedly managed Walker's finances. It sounded like he was incredibly well-off and had he alone been in that wreck, Walker would've lost a close friend and confidante.

Sam Brody. Some religious nut told me Jayne was a full-blown Satanist and was only killed because she had Anton LaVey put a curse on him, not realizing the curse would come to a head while she was in the car with him.

Tales of the actor's philanthropy are not new. CNN confirmed one story from a decade ago when Walker noticed a young U.S. military veteran shopping with his fiance for a wedding ring in a Santa Barbara jewelry store.

"The groom was just back from duty in Iraq, and he was going to be deployed again soon and wanted to buy a wedding ring, but he said he just could not afford it," saleswoman Irene King told CNN. "I don't think the soldier realized how expensive those rings are, about $10,000."

Although Walker noticed them, the couple apparently did not know who he was, King said.

"Walker called the manager over and said, 'Put that girl's ring on my tab,' " she said. "Walker left all his billing info, and it was a done deal. The couple was stunned. She was thrilled and could not believe someone did this."

King called it "the most generous thing I have ever seen."

They are saying they were street racing near the charity event and the driver's son was present. There was a fence between the accident and where the other people were. There are "reports" that the 8-year-old jumped the fence and ran to the scene to try to pull his father out.
