Paul Abdul may not return to "American Idol" for a ninth season, her manager claimed in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times.
"She's not a happy camper as a result of what's going on. She's hurt. She's angry," David Sonenberg, the "Idol" judge's manager, told the newspaper on Friday.

For some reason, I can't say I am disappointed.

Paula and Simon make the show, to be honest.
There were rumors that Simon wanted to bring over Cheryl Cole (from the UK's X Factor; she's "the nation's sweetheart") to America. If Paula leaves, Cheryl might take her spot.
If Kara stays and Paula goes, the show loses all its crazy and gains a whole lot of... prettier Randy.
Sorry- but personally, I only listen to what Simon has to say. His critiques are usually dead on! Randy just annoys the hell out of me with how he tries to talk like a teenager. Kara's critiques are pretty good but it takes her so long to get it out. Paula, to me, is just the decoration- to soften the blows. When it comes down to it, I watch AI to see the "talent"- and hear what Simon thinks. I try to ignore Ryan and can't believe he is making so much money for what he does- he really isn't that good!
Aww, I like Ryan. But I realize I'm in the minority.
I didn't read the article. What is she so angry and hurt about?
I wouldn't miss her, not one little bit. I'm with those who only value Simon's comments, along with the occassional moment of lucidity from Kara. Too often, Simon spends much of his time commenting on Paula's comments. If they do replace her, I hope they don't go with some sort of wacky clone. Better to leave it just Randy, Kara and Simon.
I always found the way she clapped to be incredibly annoying.
Won't miss her a bit.
I only like Paula on there for the drama factor. She's so ridiculous it's laughable. I like that we have something to laugh about with the judges. Simon is necessary. I could do without Randy and/or Kara. Boring! Too serious!
Good lord she's been in the business long enough not to be "hurt" or "angry".
Won't miss her...but then again, I wouldn't miss AI if it fell off the face of the earth.
What exactly is she upset about regarding the show?
I'm just glad that MJ didn't die while the show was going on and we would have to listen to her give a tribute through a mess of tears...mostly brought on by the fact that whatever she is taking for her pain medication is making her more emotional than she is.
BTW...the funniest thing I EVER heard about her was this "As a singer...Paula Abdul is a Great Dancer!"
Also, with regards to Randy...Didn't one season he just start using the word "dog" to describe people? I didn't remember it always being there like it is now.

Why wouldn't Paula come back? it's not like she has any other job offers.
I don't know if this is true or not...but someone told me a girl killed herself outside of Paula's house because she didn't make American Idol.
If that is true, then I do feel sorry for Paula about that because that is one thing that she does not deserve.
Apparently, its true MTVMANN.
Two words: Delta Burke.
Paula still gets a lot of work as a choreographer, doesn't she? I hear her name mentioned quite a bit as having worked on a lot of big music videos, tv shows, etc.
I'm going to miss her dancing at random moments while the contenstants sing. That, and her insightful comments.
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
I'll just miss laughing at her!
Like this season she said somethings like "It's a performance like that that makes me forget that you are handicapped!" to Scott.
She was only trying to be nice, but it didn't come off the way she wanted it to.
Speaking of Scott...I hated how Ryan Seacrest always said something like "Instead of telling Scott to take a seat in the bottom three I am going to guide him over there."

The only choreography I can find her credited with in the last 5 years is her own performance on Idol.
A few weeks ago she was checking our performance spaces in Vegas.
I, for one, would miss her. She's bat s#!t crazy; and bat s#!t crazy is always fun!

I've seen reports she's asking for a $20 million dollar payday for a three year renewal. I guess it would be hard to sit there making about $1M a year knowing that Ryan makes five times that and Simon is pulling down ten times as much or more....

The only thing I would miss would be wondering what drugs and/or alcoholic cocktail she was on that that. That, and the assload of crazy she brings. Because nothing that ever comes out of her mouth makes any sense whatsoever. So, yeah, it's great entertainment for me! LOL
Joe, I do think this is just a ploy to get more money. They all threaten to leave shows if they don't get a raise. Let's see how much they want her to stay!
Somehow the world & the republic will survive if she does not return.
How much do Ryan and the judges make each show?
