I like the article. I also like the crazy CNN comments below that essentially do the same racist/evasive thing that Paula is doing in her recent interview.

They cry, "well, what about the black people in the rap world who are just as bad? Go pick on them!" it's disturbing!

I try to avoid article comments of any kind as they inevitably make me lose my faith in humanity. But I had read these and was not disappointed. I wanted to comment, "did you people actually read the article???"

Because today the Rev. Al Sharpton (who, IMO, has matured into a genuine American hero in the arena of human rights) is using "C-word" instead of "cracker"!

I just saw on the news that her fans are supporting her more than ever (financially as well as spiritually). And that some of her her corporate sponsors are thinking they may have made a mistake in dropping her. Not for PC reasons, but because she 's a high earner.

I actually do think Paula can turn this around. But she's going to have to work at it, not just apologize for what happened. She still doesn't get what's wrong about her behavior or her recent responses to the problem.

If she can't get past this point, she will have a fiercely loyal but limited audience from now on. I'm sure she can and will survive on that. But her days as a national household "brand" will be done.

I just wish people would get further away from her use of the n-word. This is so much more than that, and most people have not a clue. Do they really think she has been brought up on legal charges because thirty years ago she said an ugly word? Sheesh.

I love the rationale that since she said she was 'sorry' that's enough for them. Would they feel the same way about a drunk driver? Or someone that stole from them? Or bullied their kid? IS apologizing really "enough"?
