Well, isn't it just Alisan Porter's season!!
I love Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

My brother used to have the whole PeeWee's Playhouse playset. He also had the doll when you pulled the cord and PeeWee said something (actually, we still have this somewhere). I remember when I was about 2 or 3 years old watching this show

Mecka Lecka Hi Mecka Ho Ho Ho! from the Christmas episode I have on VHS... not that I watch it or anything :)
It's about time!
Yay! "You know what big feet means-big boots!"
Reba the Mail Lady, who we know now as the great S. Epatha Merkerson...
Lawrence Fishburne as Cowboy Curtis...
Phil Hartman as Carrrrrl...
Miss Yvonne, Miss Renee, Jambie, Globie, Chairy, Conky, Magic Screen, Cowness, Terry, Billy, Reba, Carl, The King of Cartoons, Cowboy Curtis (who am I leaving out?) ... Welcome home to the entire playhouse family! Can't wait!!!
GAYEST SHOW EVER!
Oh yes. There was never even a question but that Reba and Yvonne were some serious lezzies.
Hands up (or up and down and up and down 'repeat') for pee-wee!

Rath - when S Epatha was on Isaac Mizrathi he had an action figure of her. I fell out!

Haha, that's fab, cheeze!!!
Miss Yvonne was a lezzie? That faker!
She was in some serious denial.
I am guessing that was the HBO special, not the children's show, Undi.
I loved Pee-Wee's house back in the day when it was open like ABC family or something. It was magic to me.

My son has a tape of many of the episodes and he loves it!
That's one of the things that so great about the show. It worked on so many levels. Kids loved it, as well as adults. Funny how it started out as a Saturday morning kids show and now, 20 years later, is being shown on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim at 11PM.
The first time I ever watched this show, a little girl was singing "Broadway Baby"...how fitting!
LD, that was Alisan Porter.
Bebe in the CHORUS LINE revival.
And I didn't realize until recently that Cyndi Lauper sang the theme song.
Well...it started tonight, just to remind everyone! It amazes me that the things I found so funny as a kid are still as funny, but risque from an adult point of view. And it's so bizarre to see Phil Hartman, Laurence Fishbourne and Natasha Lyonne in jus the first 15 mins. I'm loving it!
