Percocet

A friend gave me some to tide me over until I can get to the dentist on Friday. I've never taken it before so I'm wondering, should I take a half or a whole?
Anyone here take the stuff?

I took percocet when I had my wisdom teeth taken out a few years ago and it had a weird effect on me. Just the smallest little thing (ex. my mom saying "I'm going to the kitchen") would make me burst out crying as if someone had died. By the second day, I had the dentist give me something else.

Well I took a half but 30 mins later there's no difference so I took the other half. No side effects. Yet.

...I love Percocet. If only because it works. (Comparatively, Vicodin is useless.)

It does make my slightly woozy. I wouldn't drive on it, but I could do my job on it. (Sit down call center job.)

Percocet makes me feel like I've had one too many cocktails and if I eat on it, I end up puking.

Was put on it when I had 4 wisdom teeth out at the same time...made me naseated. Tylenol 3 was my best friend, tho. Had a very fun 2 days on the couch with the tv.

It depends on your tolerance. As you know I had foot surgery this past spring. They prescribed A LOT of percoset for me. A whole one makes me drowsy and I tend to fall asleep. I don't go out in public while taking them. Don't drink while taking them either. I usually take half. I have a high threshold for pain so I still have a bunch of them left. I actually took more Advil for the pain than percoset.

Between the percost and the other pain pills they gave me before the surgery, it's like the Valley of the Dolls up in here!

It did NOTHING for me. My brother told me (don't ask) that the dosage was too low most probably and to go to a free clinic and see if I can get a higher dosage. So I'm goingto go to Duane Reades new pharmacy and see can dem bitches hook me up.

Percocet is my favorite color. I love the stuff. I took it for a few days after I had major surgery last year and it made me relaxed and happy. It's highly addictive though, so be careful. Hope you feel better.

I've never taken Percocet, but my sister was taking some after she had her gall bladder removed a few years ago. She spent pretty much her whole week off from work playing DDR on Percocet.

The doctors on duty now at Duane Reade are absolutely useless. They just tell you to go to the hospital or a dentist. They're not even able to prescribe meds.

I'm going to the sliding scale clinic in the morning to have this bitch pulled. I think it's an abscess so it needs to be taken care of ASAP.

Jordan, I am glad to hear there are doctors at DR now. I had this picture of you walking into a pharmacy and saying, "Hey, my friend gave me some Percocet and they did NOTHING for me! Can you guys give me a higher dosage? Thanks."

I hope you get it taken care of soon. Toothaches are the worst.

I'm here now at the community center waiting to be seen by a dentist. Everyone seems nice enough but with my fear of the dentist combined with the pain I'm in I find myself needing a Valium badly b

it made me all sleepy and pukey. but it really depends on the person... i know someone with very severe JRA and she takes it, it gets rid of her pain, and she goes about her day. i take it, and i'm best friends with the couch and toilet for a day.
