Perez at first took back his use of the b word to describe the anti-gay marriage stance of the losing Miss California. But today, with Nora O'Donnell on MSNBC, he said "I don't take it back. In fact, I said the 'b' word, when I was thinkin' the 'c' word!" Nora's resulting chill was palpable -- you could see her breath cloud as she abruptly ended the interview.
To some, it's perhaps regretable to hear the justifiable rage associated with gay rights advocacy push toward mysogeny. On the other hand, civil rights are civil rights... and if a bimbo (my b word) can suggest the back of the bus is a good place to put gay people, because "she was brought up that way," seeking her damned faux crown, maybe the gloves are off.

Ah good, I'm back in time for the April "my view is the right one and YOUR view is the ignorant one" argument.

So you're saying that's never, ever the case, Joe? Are you broadcasting live from the mythic middle of the road?
So what SHOULD have been Perez Hilton's response, Joe?
I was raised to believe that if you weren't Catholic you were going to hell.
I got over that in a hurry. By 5th grade. At the latest.
Yeah, but you're not a blonde. Oh, wait!
I was.
And I was raised to believe that without gays Miss California wouldn't have that hair, teeth, nose or boobs....and I got over that....or did I?

I mean, really, guys? THIS much furor? She didn't say "all fags must die" or pull any Anita Bryant ****. All she said was that she thinks marraige should be between a man and a woman.
how long will it take her to be a guest on the Fox News Channel?
is she entitled to her opinion? sure. on the other hand her opinion denies people their civil rights. for this she should be a role model???
Soon it will be :
Funded by Mattel in conjunction with Fox News Channel, presenting Bigotry Barbie!
She was generic, as central casting as imaginable, and if you think about it, so was her answer. I'm surprised she didn't invoke 9/11, flag-burning, her right to own a gun, and stay-at-home moms.
All she said was that she thinks marriage should be between a WHITE man and a WHITE woman
Is there any difference that way, Pirag?

They are. Just like Christians. And they are all persecuted.
It's suddenly the law of the land of 4 states. I think people like Miss California have to suck it.

That's what I been sayin' all along, g.
What amazes me here and facebook- is that people is saying- she is just stating her opinions!
Bottom line : The Question is NOT about her opinion... and her opinion denies people equal right (thank you whoever said that)
and IT WOULD NOT BE RIGHT! PERIOD.

Opinions have consequences.
Thank you! PJ.

Her answer was just terrible. "Opposite marriage"? What is that? Does it only happen on opposite day? Whenever you have to start or end a phrase with "no offense," you know you've said something offensive. Then again, this is Miss USA and not Miss America.
By the way, what ever happened to majority rule with respect to minority groups? Marriage is a right that everyone deserves to have.

But mostly they should just go **** themselves, right kringy?

It's different when the minority makes people think of sodomy.
And there are consequences to that opinion too.
People like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity will say that by expressing that opinion, you are creating a new tyranny of political correctness and making people afraid to voice their deeply held opinions. They will say that by exercising your own free speech, you are stifling THEIR free speech.
To which opinion you may very well say, "Suck it, Rush Limbaugh. Suck it, Sean Hannity. Suck it, Miss California."
But after a while, none of our opinions won't matter, because it will be the law of the land in 50 states, not 4.
