This is truly off-topic but... I keep getting that ad from Dole about pineapple slices on the bottom right corner of the site. It reminds me of how much I love pineapple cubes but when served as a different shape, like a slice, the taste changes for me.
Please tell me there are others out there who experience the same with other types of food, whether it be the texture or shape or presentation. Perhaps it's just me being mental and that's my cue to head to the padded cell.

I'm weird about tomatoes. I like diced tomatoes, but hate tomato slices on burgers. And I HATE squishy cooked tomatoes. GROSS. Pureed for a sauce or bruchetta or something is fine, but a soggy plate of hot ovaries makes me gag.

I used to only be able to eat raw peppers. If they were cooked or on anything, they would gross me out. And if it was something like a pizza, I couldn't just pull them off because I could still taste them! And then one day they didn't gross me out anymore.

I can't eat raw broccoli. But I absolutely love it after I've steamed it for a bit. Go figure.

I can't eat the following due to texture and/or appearance.
TOFU, yogurt, aspic, headcheese, cottage cheese, tapioca, brains, lunchmeat, spam, pate
Jane, I really hate this expression but, after reading your list, I just threw up a little in my mouth.
HAHA, then you totally understand why I don't eat them!
Tofu is disgusting. Just... ugh.
I love grapes more than any other fruit on earth. I absolutely detest anything grape flavored. Grape juice, soda, pudding, vitamins and any other thing that can be grape flavored.
I also can't eat steamed veggies, but I love eating them raw. (Carrots, Broccoli and Spinach)

good grief you all sound like my sister when she was a child...lol. Her eating habits were horrid
I can't do grape or cherry flavored things, thanks to the cough syrup I was forced when I was younger when I was sick. They literally make me nauseous.
I hate raw tomatoes, but will eat it in sauce form on pasta and pizza.
The only seafood I like are clams because to me, everything else smells and tastes the same, which would be gross, in my book.
I also cannot drink milk of any sort anymore. I don't know why I started hating milk when I was little, except for chocolate. But, now chocolate even bothers me because I know it's milk. But, I will eat things like cheese and ice cream. And if milk is called for in a recipe I will use it.
Agree about tofu, spam, and cottage cheese.
I love throwing little chunks of tofu into a pan of sauteed veggies, but they have to be small chunks, no more than a centimeter in length. If they're too large, it's soy overload.
I only like spinach when it's cooked -- I don't like it in salad.
I love tofu...
But I can't deal with crunchy food.
I only eat ham if it's shaved ultra thin.
I can't stand ground hamburger meat that isn't a burger... You know, stuff like Hamburger Helper. Bleh, bleh, bleh.
I'll eat tomatoes if pureed or in tiny salsa chunks but whole pieces or slices are disgusting to me.
I'll put milk in cereal but that's it (besides when baking or cooking with it that will completely get rid of the taste).
Celery is awesome when it's raw. When it's cooked, it's absolutely the most disgusting thing and must be taken out of whatever it's in. Peppers, broccoli, beans must be cooked and never raw.
I absolutely CAN. NOT. do cold pasta. It sets off my gag reflex and I will seriously start gagging if it's in my mouth.
Jordan, literally all those are me. Except the cold pasta one. I've eaten many a plate of cold spaghetti at one o'clock in the morning on Saturday nights (Sunday morning).
I love regular cous cous, but pearled cous cous (literally the same thing, only slightly larger) makes me gag. But that may only because it comes in the most disgusting flavors.
I only like grated/shredded Parmesan cheese on Italian products. It disgusts me in soups.
