Here I am getting all teary that they all made it out safely and reading how heroic the pilot was, and then I read danmags "F*cking geese" post and spit coke out my nose.

Really? Is that safer than landing on the ground?
Compare the Hudson with the ground around the Hudson. I think the pilot made the right call. :P

146 passengers & 5 crews.
I am sorry but IF I am one of those passengers. I would not take a plane rightaway.. I would take a f*** bus to go to Charlotte, NC. I would be soo traumatized! so there's baggage & luggage are all gone now? like backpack with laptop computers, iPod, etc..
I guess..you will think about your life first and be thankful afterwards but later its going to be a B*TCH to lose all those!
