I read this lovely article about "The Real Joan Rivers" on Daily Beast and in it they remark "in the film we see how harsh her self criticism can be, and how painfully she is stung by that of others. The plastic surgery jokes that are relentlessly slung at her during a Comedy Central Roast hit hard, even though she knew full well what was in store. "If I had invested wisely, I wouldn't be doing this," she jokes in the limo ride to the show."
So Joan Rivers KNOWS she looks like a Woolworth's mannequin these days- plastic and cheap looking and not at all human?
So why do it? Why spend millions of dollars to look like that? I know, Hollywood can be cruel to older ladies but it's not like Joan Rivers is ever going to star in a movie as a college girl- and she doesn't really look "younger" anyway- she's smooth and taut but not a bit girlish.
Heidi Montag Spent all last week telling anyone who'd listen she's addicted to Plastic Surgery. (she's 24 by the way). Nicole Kidman looks like some sort of alien life form, so botoxed that she can't list an eyebrow.
So why? Why do they do this? I can't think of a single celebrity that actually looks better after their time under the knife. What in the world makes them do it?
